cant get above 4lbs boost?

hey guys i have a 2011 silber kit on my 11 pro and i cant seem to get above 4-5lbs of boost. i called justin and he told me to put the green spring in which was stiffer, and he said that would get me more boost. that didnt seem to help. if the boost controller is all the way in i get about 3 lbs. if i turn it out 6 turns or more all i can get is 4-5 lbs. the sleds running awesome just cant get more boost. im running 100av. any advice? how do you know if the boost controller is bad?

Has it previously built more boost and something all of a sudden caused this condition, or is it a new install that you are dialing in?

i took it out today and tightend the acuator rod up to 5 turns and still didn't get an increase in boost. ive never been able to get more than five lbs. i thought it might of been the gauge but ive tried two different gauges. any ideas?

Check your bolts on your turbo make sure there tight and exhaust springs and donut basically anything that can cause a boost leak.

check all the orings on the air box and throttle bodies...you have a leak somewhere. orings pretty easy to tear when installing

I.checked the donut and everything seemed to be tight. I had the airbox off the other day to replace the reeds and the orings looked fine. I was having the problem before and after i took the air box off. Thanks in advance.

The bov isnt stuck open. Was i suppose to put in a heavier spring in the bov When i put a heavier one in the wastegate?

No, we actually put in a lighter spring in ours, regardless of boost. The wastegate rod adjustment is only to hold it closed.

Have you tried it w/o the boost controller in the loop? Is the boost solenoid hooked up correctly?

Sounds like a leak. Way's I've lost Boost: Charge tube connections, check pipe to make sure it's not cracked, check for torn intake boots. I don't know about Pros, but the dragons and my shift turbo were notorious for torn boots. You can usually have a really bad donut and still produce plenty of boost.

The Silber Pro kits don't have intake boots to tear.

Thanks for the help. I did bypass the boost controller and was still getting around 4lbs. I have the solenoid hooked up like it showed in the direction i just double checked. Sounds like it has to be a leak somewhere. Is there a good way to locate it without tearing it all apart.

I'm no expert on turbos, but it seems that a leak would have to be pretty big to limit the boost like that, I'm thinking something else.

i took the exhaust off and look at the wastegate and it was closed. in the picture that is the right spring to get 6+ lbs of boost with the silber kit right? the one i replaced wasnt as stiff.
