Can you Tig weld an aluminum front inner cooler while on sled ?

My front cooler took a hit from stud. Pain to remove, want to Tig it while on sled,,, if i dosconnect ECM & CDI is that ok ??

It's been done, you should be fine if the welder can reach ok.

For sure you will want to drain the coolant. Also keep your ground as close as possible.

Depending on the size of your leak? The art of welding is a very detailed process, step by step. Most of the time you will get better results removing the cooler. I would completely drain and then sandblast the welding area. And the do a pressure check before reinstalling.

JB Weld works good. I've done it to two different sleds... Hit the area with a wire brush, then mix up some JB weld and smear it on there. Let dry and no leak.
