Can you spen under 3k and get a 15' Pro to keep up with a T3

In the deep snow which some of you guys have yet to experience this season the 174 T3 hands down blows the Poo away in traction and in horsepower.

Deep Powder

But really if your a regular guy with a job that rides mostly on weekends how much time do you get deep powder every season? 1-2 times?

So for 90% of the time a 174 3 inch is not suited for most of the riding thats available.

That's why I said boost. I don't think anyone will argue the doo has more horses stock. I ride with a couple new skidoo's and my boosted 174" pro is a problem for em' to keep up with!

Stock to stock, in deep handle bar pow , the ski-doo t3 will out do the stock pro. But put the 3" 162 on the pro and a t3 163 and the pro is better. Feels like less power but gets on the snow better and will climb higher. Just what I have see in out neck of the woods.

"Keep Up".... under what conditions?

I've seen both sleds shine in specific situations...

Are you talking technical tree riding? Climbing? Deep Powder? Sidhilling over a cliff-band? .....????

The T-3, with the 3" track... especially the 174 will have, of course more traction than a 2.4" track...

On a sidehill... I've watched the Polaris outshine the Doo.

As said before ... much has to do with rider ability and familiarity with the chassis.

The T-3 IS a great sled... but, IMO, it is not necessarily a better sled.

If you mean "Keep Up" in deep, blower powder... simple... install a deep pow track like the X3...in the same length that you are comparing it to... gear it appropriately.... and you will have no problem "Keeping Up"

My 2 Cents.

Learn how to ride for free. A stock new 163" Pro is a very capable sled and isn't holding you back from going anywhere.

A stock 163 pro will keep up with a 163 t3 in every aspect of riding besides in point and chute straight up climbing, the pro lacks there because less lug and power. I think two equal ability riders can make these two sleds look very equal.

I own both, don't kid yourself that a Polaris 163 will keep up with a t3 163 or 174 in any condition lol. Down hill, up hill, sidehill etc. I have no reason to b biased I own both. Just the facts

Interesting that some think a 3" track is revolutionary. Coming stock on a sled is nice but these tracks have been around for quite a long time.

I think where the T3 is revolutionary is factory drop and roll, longer drop brackets and longer spindles for increased snow clearance.

Hopefully the new Poo is doing something along them lines combined with their narrower, lighter chassis and y'all will see something revolutionary:face-icon-small-win

Again depends on snow conditions. We've had hardpack all season, out of about 20 rides so far this season we've seen the T3 go down the road like a slug and has been getting smoked on hardpack uphill pulls all season. If we ever get a big snow day maybe it will shine.

slp stage 4 kit my sled rips and sounds better then an etec.. was about 2800 installed adds an extra 20 hp 11lbs of torque and its mostly noticeable in the mid to top end its becomes a different machine

Thank you Captain Obvious for the great insight.

Ha! Or try a fancy decal on your rear window of your truck. See that a lot around here too.

Around these parts they say "GONZALEZ HERNANDEZ MENDEZ" ect but they typically end in a Z. Never knew these guys had it figured out? Also the manufacturer of the car on the window must help as well?
