Any one have real world experience? I will do all the work myself. Can I spend under 3k and get my pro to keep up with a T3. If so what are your parts recommendations?

If your talking equally skilled riders my vote would be boost. The doo would only be visible when you do a circle!!! If rider skill isn't in the equation put the 3k back in your pocket and find some less talented friends!

Agree.....I rode with one last week. the 174 doesn't have enough track speed. My turbo Pro 155 was so far in front of the 174 we didn't even realize it was on the same trip. Stock Pro takes a pretty good rider to out do the T3 174 though........

Thanks for all the good info. I bought a pro by accident:) had a mechanical failure on my full mod 3" 860xp and went and bought a pro from Rexburg motorsports (great dealer)! Its a fun sled to ride I just miss the seriously Volant power of my xp. I really don't want to turbo, however am open to everything else. So what I am hearing is 3" with a gear down. Question is do I really need to do the gear down when you go to 7tooth?

I'm sorry but a stock pro won't touch a T3 174. I have yet to see but I will bet you're turbo won't either in really deep snow. Maybe if it has a 3 inch 155. You guys are riding set up snow. I stole my wife's sled and played in the trees all day long with my buddy and his 155 and I got him unstuck probably 6 times and will guaranty he can ride as good as anybody. He has since got his supercharger done so we will see if we get any deep snow.

Hill topper I did a 3 on a 13 155 and it still needed geared down imo. Way down on clutch and no gearing available that year.

Checked the specs on the t3 163. It has 21/51 gearing. Which is 2.42 ratio. The 174 is even lower.
