I plan on being in Denver for memorial day with a few buddies and we want to do some backcountry camping. We would like to hike around 20 miles over about 3 days. Anybody have any ideas for a good hike.
That could be an iffy thing.
We have gotten record snowfalls all over the state and to be honest.............
We will still be sledding on memorial day.
Not saying you can't do some backcountry camping and hikeing. Just plan on cold nights and bring your snow shoes.
Camping is no issue. Hiking may be tough. Try up in Nederland the snow melts earlier up there. You can probably camp right outside Salida and Buena Vista at the base of the mtns before you hit the snow. Bring a warm sleeping bag
