Camoplast Extreme or Powerclaw

Has anyone tried both tracks? I have a 2010 nytro MTX 162. I am installing MPI stage 1 S/C and want the best track for steep and deep. Thanks for your help.

Some people don't like how the PC handles when coming down hill. The only time I didn't like it was riding off camber in spring conditions. It has a tendency to slide instead of bite. Other than that its performed well for me.

You can't go wrong with the CE, its a great all around track.

The difference is that you can usually find a PC cheaper since more guys swap them out.

yup i've tried both and it was an expensive experiment, ditched the powerclaw after 2 rides i hated it on my nytro. put on the CE 2.5 and its awesome. Although i agree the powerclaw does work very well on the arctic cats, it provided massive trackspin and pathetic hook up on my yamaha in deep powder.

The best track is challenger extreme 15x162 2.5" part#9175. Thanks for your help, just want to make sure i order the right one.

Wilmont i'm going with the 240 MCx kit and I have a brand new CE 162 sitting here going on tuesday. I also heard the CE deffinately brakes better going down the step and deep besides great in the POW. My two cents.....

they have updated the CE 2.5 with slightly different lugs and single ply so the part number is now different. 9175 should be correct. I have the older 9945 if you can find one for a good deal it is not a single ply and a bit heavier but it is extremely tough and durable track. I honestly dont know how the new single ply CE is holding up.

I know a lot have guys have posted that on lower boost kits the stock drivers hold up. 240 hp and up causes issues. No first hand experience however. If you have the track out and are going with boost it is easy to do and only costs around $100. Probably worth it I would think. $100 in our sport sadly is a drop in the bucket.

i;ve compared the old CE (serrated tips) vs. updated single ply newer CE and the old CE is the the best track that camoplast has ever put out.

$100 won't get you drivers. Avid drivers are $125 each. definetly necessary and still worth it though.

guess I will add them to my long list of stuff I must have. Avids what tooth????
Wilmot, save your money. If you have 2010 without that much milage, I've been told that even with the MCx 240 if you keep your track in correct adjucment you wont have any problems for a while.Yes avids are a deffinate for 270hp and up..and if your track is starting to skip,,then it's time. I guess the 08's and 09's had problmes. MY two cents.........
