Camoplast 3" AS A DEALER OPTION??

What J said... This track is NOT a PG&A offering...

Polaris will NOT be proving the tracks nor is warranty offered on the track or any issues that arise from installation of that track from Polaris Industries... regardless of what the dealer or RSM/DSM says.

I've checked this with the factory.

The ONLY diff in these "packages" from doing this on a stock sled is that the sled arrives to you with the track already installed... and you don't keep your stock track.

On the std RMK's with Chaicase...The chaincase must be removed and modified for use with ANY 7 tooth driver... center punched or not....
7 tooth or extended chaincases are required to run an X3 track... since the jackshaft is so close to the bulkhead... not possible to the old-school "Drop & Roll"

Cost to "DIY" ... eg for a 162"... figure $1100 for the track and $275 for the drivers including shipping... $50 - $60 to have a machine shop press off/on the drivers...
For chaincase equipped models (Assault and Std Rmk's) $150 to mod the chaincase... $50 for the adhesive to bond the chaincase back on.

The X3 track itself is a real "bugger" to get in the sled... best to have extra hands available... If you pull the chaincase for the mod... put the track into the sled on its side then install the case back into the sled with the track/driveshaft in the sled already... be quick as you only have about 3-4 minutes before the 406GB adhesive sets up.

On the QuickDrive equipped sleds (PRO-RMK's) It is a lot easier to install the X3 track if you remove the lower bearing in the QD backing plate. and then install it after the track is in the sled... again...lay it on the PTO side.

Your stock "take off" track has a $350 - $500 resale value if unused.

IMO, Dealers selling you the sled, should be able to do this, if they keep the stock track, for less than than $1000 in "upgrade" price... including labor.

For the 2015... with a 3"... I really like the chaincase equipped "standard" RMK... you can gear down for the track. ... If you really want the belt drive you can go with a TKI or C3 for less than the money you save on the sled compared to the PRO model...At that point, the only difference between the two is the carbon fiber rear bumper and the overstructure.. and the snow-flap with holes on the PRO.
