Cabins by Lava Mountain Lodge

There is two cabins for rent up the road from Lava Mountain Lodge, one on each side of the road. Are they part of Lava Mountain Lodge ? If not does any one know the phone numbers posted on them ?
Thanks Darin

Darin, I should be down there in the next to days and i will try to remember to get them.

I remember when I was at lava earlier this month, seeing a sign that said all near by homes/cabins werent associated w/lava...

stayed in the "moose haven" cabin about a month ago, we had 6 guys there and it was sufficient, don't think i would want anymore staying in it though as it would get crowded. make sure you bring calling cards if you want to call out, cell phone reception is non existant.

Darin,
Sorry it took so long, went down to jackson today and had to go back to LML to get UPS and then back up to the mountain, it snowed all day so we had to go out and play. any way the number is 307-455-3735 for both places, LML also has cabins for like 45 bucks and you bring sleeping bags. Just thought i would let you know.

Good Luck

Cabins up the road from Lava Mountain

Those cabins nroth of Lava Mountain are not in any way associated with the lodge. In fact the woman who owns them is anti-snowmobile, but she will rent them out. As a groomer in the area, we have had problems with her purposly plowing snow accross the trail( over 6 ft banks) causing sledders to have to go in the highway to get around.

When I asked her to not plow accross the trail, she exploded and told me to f@#k off.

If you support snowmobiling, I would aviod her. Even the state trails guys have had a problem with her trying to damage the trail, and being unco-opertive.

If you need a place to stay, Lava Mountain Lodge has rooms and cabins. Or you can go to Togwotee Lodge.

Just thought I'd let you know before you book anything.
