Bye, Bye, Arctic Cat...

Its with a heavy heart that I announce the move to Poo...I haven't owned a sled since my 08 M1000 and have finally saved up for a new one. I was looking at either a 10-11 m8 153, but after spending some time on an older dragon, I love how much better poo feels on the bumped out trails. The new info comming out on the 13 pro has me sold. Not to mention if they are in fact going with a belt drive, I have to think this will help out an awesome local around here...Mark Hoffman and CMX. Any dollars that can come around for the local community is welcome in my eyes!!!

Sorry for the rant...HELLO POLARIS (cant wait for my 13!!!)

HA! i got tricked. I thought this was a thread about Arctic Cat circling the toilet! Belt problems, horrible customer service, engineers with huge egos, flatlander engineering concepts, supply chain shortages, weight gains while others are loosing, etc etc. The only thing left thats good on a CAT is made by Suzuki!!!

Are you assuming (or know) that Polaris is using or licensing the belt drive from CMX? If not I don't see how it helps CMX.

Welcome! I made the switch this year and I havent even pondered on the idea that I made a mistake. Polaris makes a great sled! Besides, its hard to be brand loyal when these toys cost around 12 g's. With that much cash I want the best. And thats why im on a poo!

Totally assuming... Doesn't cmx own the patent? I know mark works with poo a lot so it's hard for me to believe he isn't going to see something in return...the reason I'm choosing this sled has little to do with that anyway, it is , in my opinion, the best sled out there for my riding style!!!

i 2 left cat, had a 211 m8sp 162 and now have a pro 163 and havnt thought twice about it. i love it the only part i dont like is the kill switch, wish it would be like the perc button

I wonder if kit would be available from Polaris to convert the 2011 & 2012 Pro's to the belt drive if it happens??? I'd be all over that!!

I am a Poo guy through and through, even had a 900 RMK for six seasons. Now I'm riding a '12 Pro and love it. Everything above could've (and likely has) been said about Poo during the 900 years. Every brand has their "stumbles", but Cat builds a decent sled and they will bounce back from this.
