Buying a sled from USA

You pay GST and PST at the border. If you want to register it, you have to send your "form one" provided by the border into Registry of Imported Vehicles with a check for $206.75 (but only if you want to register it). If the sled in made in US or Canada that there is no duty under NAFTA. If it is a Yamaha, you will get dinged with duty. If the sled is 15 years old or older you do not pay tax.

importing

to bring into B.C. you pay gst and pst and the riv fee ,if you don't pay the riv fee at the border they will send you a letter requesting it . no duty on a yamaha something to do with having a track and running on snow no wheels. i brought 2 boosted yamahas in and that is what i paid thx wayne and you do not have to give the u.s. side 72 hours notice when bringing a sled in

so I am going to Revelstoke for business and hope to sell my 06 Rev while I am there. I don't really need to do anything to cross the border then I take it, since it is not even officially sold?

I will just say that YES you do have to have the title sent to the border crossing (in the US) that you are bringing the sled back into Canada. Then show up at that border crossing and bring in the original title (or MSO) and it will be stamped as ready for export.
