Bushmaster

I'm looking at a Bushmaster AR 15 E2S, the guy says less than 100 rounds through it and he paid $1500.00. I look it up online and I can find a new one for $799.00.

I was thinking I would offer him $500.00, what are your thoughts?

buy a new one. why take a chance on used, and try to stay away from the muzzle brake flash suppresor, what ever you want to call it youll need ear plugs to shoot it if it has one, they have a real nasty crack

Nothing wrong with a used one, take it apart. 2 pins separate the upper receiver from the lower, 10 internal parts... cake.

Good rifle to own, they'll reach out to 500+ yds all day long.

Just a basic A2 platform? any accessories? No way he'd sell it for $500. He's probably trying to upsell you. I'd take the new one. Or buy parts and build yourself one the way you want it.

And I'd call BS on the less than 100 rounds. That's 3 mags. No way a guy buys a new AR and goes out shooting and puts less that 3 mags full through it, even on the first outing.

I'd shoot him what they retail for new, and your offer... can't hurt anything...

And honestly I'd call bs on the 100 rounds as well, I've put that many rounds down range in 5 min through my M4...

I wouldn't fret to much over it being used or not, just the overall condition and price...

Got any pictures for us?

With a service life of 6-8000 rnds when these things start getting worn out it's typically very obvious.

Honestly, I would bet it's more like 1000 rnds. Typically you find these things NIB of with a few thousand rnds down the pipe. Like was already stated, it's soooo easy to put a few hundred rnds thru these things in an afternoon that I would call BS on the 100rnds too.

IMO unless you can get a pretty decent "deal" on it hold out for new or maybe even something better. Bushy's are just ok.

Agreed Bushmasters are at best a ok build. the internal parts are what counts and they don't tend to use reliable internals.

Keep shopping around you will find better. No way it's only got 100 rounds. not unless it broke. :beer;:beer;

Thanks for the info.

The deal is this guy owes a friend back rent money. So I made the $500 my only offer. So if he takes it good, if not oh well.
