Burandt Pro Rmk Boards on a Proclimb

I want to see full pic, lay it on its side and hold the tap outside to outside right where the plastic meets it.

It'll be a bit before I can get the left side on. I go back to work tomorrow for 5 days. Gym for an hour and a half is after a 12 hour day at work (gotta work on the rider to you know). I take the weekend off from the gym so I'll get started on the left side saturday & sunday after work. Should have it finished monday that's my first day off and do some testing sometime during the week.

From your photo, take some of the money you saved with the B Boards and buy a HPS or SLP can for that thing. :face-icon-small-hap

Your sled needs another present. :present:

Thanks, yes the pictures and the write up does take some extra time but it's fun & I like sharing/discussing. Sometimes others see things that will work better so that's a plus as well.

Thanks, for tip on the black paint. Can't leave any thing on there that's not black... The tunnel is getting replaced as well with a 13' tail section. I will cut down the factory cooler as well.

I need to get my hands on a cheapish scale to hang these turds from I would like to check my weight loss project. Anyone know of a cheapish scale?

If you are just weighing each part you could use a digital fish scale. That's what I do. It will give you a before and after.

I've got a bead on a big and little scale... I would like to have both. Some of the things you take off like running boards end up in multiple pieces, it's a pain trying to gather all the chunks up to weight them properly. Simple swap out parts would be easy with the fish scale to. Being a mechanic automatically makes you a tool whore so....

Are they narrower in the rear than the stockers? Have any problems with the ankle biters behind the stirrup? I had visions of my 05' m7 locking my foot in the stirrup during a rollover, ouch. Of course I had to keep checking that it did in fact hurt through out the year lol.

They are an inch narrower all the way. They are quite narrow in the back. I don't know what to say about the stirrups. These are on my sons sled and we are headed west tomorrow. I will give a report when we get back. They are a concern though.

The sidehill issue is all on teh front an panels at the back the stock boards aren't far off, maybe go in just a touch

I'm not totally agree with you. I think it is important that the rear end is also narrow. But yes, the front is the most important :) If we can take it on the phone in Norwegian I can explain it for you :p hehe. my technical English is even worse than my "normal" :D haha

Please let us know what you think of them & anyone else running them.

I wondered about this is as well. I intentionally left the Burandt boards longer with the thought of having more running board in the rear to land on when jumping back and forth. I do have some concerns with them dragging in the back but I think it will be minimal. I also agree with Wyo that the biggest problem is the body width...

Think they are strong enough for a 130 pound jumper? Hahaha

They are very stout... One piece extruded aluminum, versus a multi piece stamped aluminum & oval tube. Once there finished and the stirrup is tied in I think they will be bomb proof or at least every bit as strong as the factory ones.

Ok update. Left board is on.

Clearance for the brake rotor, for future removal.

Left stirrup. I need some different grinding tools to finish the trimming of the belly pan.

Starting width.

Finish width. About a 1/16 ish under 3" total. I'll measure a stocker outside to outside of the panel & mine outside to outside of the panel once the boards are final mounted.

I will have to build a aluminum wedge to take up the gap on the rear supports. The Cat taper tunnel leaves a gap at the top because the Burandt board support is 90* with a Poo tunnel. Once those are built I will paint the tunnel, Stirrups & rear supports and do a final install of the Boards.
