Bumper mount broke without bending bumper

A friend of mine had the same bumper mount break and Polaris warrantied it.

Interesting mount idea from SPG...Thanks for posting it up Prayn4snow

I was about to post the same thing but I am glad you beat me to it because your picture is better. Both the Next Level and the Burandt bumpers use these aluminum mounts.

So your saying the Burandt and Next Level Bumpers mount like in the picture and do not use the stock location? Just found a broken tab on mine but the opposite side as all those pictured. Need a solution...

Buddy here, same thing. Warranty. It was on a new sled, it almost looked like someone stepped on the front bumper to break it, lifting wouldn't have done it, and it was new, never hit anything.

Note

One thing to note:

The bumper should go on the inside of the tab, and not the outside. So, with it on the outside it would be preloaded. On a side note, that little bit of force should not break the tab, but I have seen stranger things.

Maybe that is something to watch out for if running a bumper that is connected to the tabs.

This is the picture from my pro of the lms bumper. It mounts to the top shock tower area and has an aluminum piece that is designed to break first if you hit something hard enough.

Also a couple of pics from their website on how they mount the bumpers.

They have sweet rear bumpers too.

What does this have to do with an axys?
It appears they don't sell an axys bumper?
Nobody broke a rear bumper mounting "tab"
Seems an obvious troll post but to what end?

Pic number 66 and 67 on the gallery page of the LMS site shows a front bumper on an Axys. Not sure why you flamed his post. I found it helpful and it has certainly turned me on to a new option.
I will be contacting LMS for further information.

Thanks i looked all over the site and saw nothing on an axys.
I guess I thought maybe if they had something for sale they would list the things they sell?

Went with the skinz standard bumper. Has the same style mounts as the pro and next level bumpers. Plus can't beat $135 shipped to my door!

The main issue I have with that bumper is the sharp ends. I saw a guy get impaled on it this year which required medical treatment. After seeing that, there is no way I'd put one on my sled.

Come on, of all things that can happen while sledding that's what you're worried about? Yes I saw the pics too.

I made contact with LMS and this bumper mounts to the stock location so it is of no help. Just figured I would put that out there as we are looking for a solution to the stock tabs breaking.
Spent some time in the garage last night and came up with this fix.

Definitely not a troll post and I am not affiliated with them. I'm just a happy customer. I don't have an axys but do know they make an axys bumper. Sounds like it might not mount the same as a pro does though to deal with the broken tabs.
