Up at Cottonwood yesterday - light snow on the east side (up to Denny Creek there are bare spots in the road, icey);
above 10k it gets better, lots of new deep snow in the trees, drifts BUT no base. Most meadows can have 4'-6' that is bottomless.
Above tree line - I did 2 small climbs and sets off 6, yes 6 smaller avalanches which were up to 150 yards away.
West side into Taylor Park, Spring Creek is deeper (probably 10" plus) BUT you will go right through it and hit everything, rocks, trees, stumps, etc. Need to stay on the trail or if you go off, you better know what's under there.
Once this sets up - it will be really good with new snow.
