well we canceled the trip for the 21 but moved it to either march 4-10 or march 18-24 so hopefully another month to month and a half it will be better. I havent even rode yet this year here in southwest michigan, might go up to the western up this weekend but marinal snow there as well
Boney from parking lot to Denny TH. Saw 6 sleds all day, I know in a few weeks it's got to be better! Sunday rode Leadville area, snow was better above treeline, but getting there was ROUGH!
Over the hood in trees. Pounding when we got out of there. Waist deep in the secret stashes..... Bent an a-arm a little. Slow speed and hit a log end and folded the ski up. Not liking the durability of these. Handled well in the powder. Still pounding in town, hard to see coming out. Still need allot more to settle and get rid of the land mines.
With the wind we are going to get today and if you know where to go there will be 2 feet plus.. Most folks who ride the roads or dont know where to go will find 6" - 12"....
Kinda a late start but if these next set of storms line up and with the loading like will happen today again if you know where to go there will be good snow to be found.
2 feet plus in most of the country around crested butte all the way over to aspen.
Also Mike - we were thinking of joining you guys yesterday but I have no sled as I sold both of my m1000's... Soon the new ones will be here and it will be game on again!
Crested Butte got about 14" in town, 16" on the ski resort, and Schofield Pass Snotel is showing a 23" increase over yesterday morning. I imagine Cottonwood did pretty well as well.
