Seem to be doing ok to me.

Problem is you have the wrong company. BRP doesn't publish financials. These are numbers from the old parent company.

Relax, take a deep breath....

Didn't mean to stir up so much sh i t with this...I just heard that one particular dealer had 20 out of 25 xps sold come back with engine or driveshaft trouble!! That, along with my personal experience of talking to people out riding...almost every one of them has told me they at least have had belt problems. I'm not trying to bash ski-doo by any means...the only reason I know about these problems is cause the xp has me very interested and Ive done a lot of research on them. What I'm really saying is this must be an expensive year for brp!!!

Dont get yer panties in a bunch!!!

Have fun out there...and be safe
:D

BRP will be around...

Don't fret, friends. Every manufacturer works in an allowance for warranty costs in the price of their vehicle - whether it be BRP, A/C, Polaris, Yamaha, Ford, General motors, etc...you get the idea. If they didn't, Polaris would have been pushing daisies years ago with the crank issues on the Liberty 800's. Manufacturing costs are high, which is why you see a lot of vehicles being built in Mexico - sleds and cars / trucks. Bet Honda doesn't build bikes and ATV's in the U.S., either, although they do have a plant that builds cars if I'm not mistaken. Unfortunately, tighter emissions standards are causing all vehicles to get expensive and more complex, and then people expect longer warranties where everything is covered on their purchase, even after they've modded it. Some dealers will push it through, some won't - end result is we all pay more every year - what used to be an expensive sport is getting out of reach for a lot of people. I for one would be willing to purchase a sled with a 90 day warranty - ie: motocross bike for the reduced price paid - then I would add the mods I want to with the cash difference.

Thanks, Old fart...for just responding reasonably to my post and not getting all bent out of shape!!! Somehow this turned out to a "my dads tougher than your dad" type post when all I was looking for is a simple insight such as yours to tell me how a company can afford to suffer all these warranty issues. Ride on, dude

Thanks,
Bryan

What a great company us Canadian taxpayers own..............

If only you had your facts straight.

Bombardier got grants from the government years back to build planes.
BRP(Family) never got grants.

Bombardier has always been a profitable company, which employs tens of thousands of people.

They did get grants, sure, but they spent almost ten fold of their own on research in the Canadian aerospace industry.

http://www.transportation.bombardie...=/en/0_0/0_0_1_7/0_0_1_7_2/0_0_1_7_2_2_24.jsp

The family (BRP) as far as I know have not gotten grants from the Canadian government.

BRP is the 17th richest family in Canada, netting 2.29 billion.

Daryl Katz even has them beat.
