Well, time to see what the dealer can do for me with warranty I guess. Both sides are broken where the running board edge bolts up to the footrest. And both running boards have a crack running towards the tunnel also. Anyone else having this problem?

your either a big guy or doing some serious jumping/drops??? maybe whacked something hard on one of the rails? think the bent rivets/bottom of the kick plate/rail grips, kind of give that away. i've got almost 700 hard aggresive miles on mine and they are straight with no signs of cracking, but i try to keep my sled on the ground. to do this on both sides, would seem to take more than normal wear and tear.

i'd be looking for extra supports, if your using it that hard your gonna end up right back where you are now if you don't do something to beef up the boards...

p.s you might want to change your avitar before you try to get it warrantied;)

Everything looks pretty twisted up there....sure you didn't tag anything? I weigh 220+ with gear and mine is straighter than hugh hefner so far....

My buddies did the same he is 220 and jumps alot. The sled had 300 miles on it when it broke. He got new supports then wrapped bailing twine around the the upper toe hook to the running board. Kinda ghetto but hes now has 1700 miles with no problems.

Hate to pop your bubble...but insiders will tell you...Heff is a flamer! One twisted SOB! His gig these days is watching men....so I take it your running boards are completed screwed?

that's a bummer chad. i think this is another area where the airframe running boards will shine. i'm 210ish gear up, and am not a big jumper but definitely don't keep it on the ground all the time. my running boards are also showing some signs of bending. although i'm almost wondering if it is more due to kicking/stomping the snow out?

I am 220 geared and I will not say that I keep the track on the ground. But, our snow conditions haven't been that great for jumping this year anyway and I doubt that I've sent this sled further than 70 feet or so. I doubt that they will cover it, but my boards have been bending from the first day, and I have the OEM running board braces installed as well.

I am considering the Skinz Airframes. I have just been dumping a lot of money into this sled, admittedly with mods, but I'd like to avoid spending another $500. PV, did you get your airframes yet? Installed?

I think me and a buddy are going to fabricate some chromoly tube pins to help keep the running baords straight and prevent this from happening..

I have been on IQR's for the past 5 years so I guess I am used to being able to beat on a sled pretty hard with little physical damage to the sled.

Both sides of my assault are broke. New ones are back oredered also.
I have some pretty bad cracks going into the tunnel. My supports probably had about an inch or more sag in them. I also run the tunnel stiffner off the rush. I wish I could get the steel pipe like years past. This aluminum just isn't strong enough. I'm not a big guy either, 200 riding and I do like to huck it. But isn't the assault built for that? So, I'm down while I fix these and wait for new ones to show

i did bu they are not installed. mis-communication during ordering back in oct. and i ended up with polished alum rather than powder coated. have it at the powder coater now. have to saw sled solutions has outstanding customer service. as soon as i mentioned that mine were not powder coated as expected he spend quite a bit of time finding out why/what happened. hooked me up on a discount too. that was really cool since it was just as likely my fault as anyone else.
