broken lower a arm

Do you know if it is straight? Clean break or also bent?? Have seen some success but have never tried it on an a arm myself. May require more work than replacing!?

Anything is possible, but they can get pretty tweaked. I'd do it to keep a ride planned, but that's about it.

Its a clean brake with no bending, it broke right near the end plate.
I would be placing a sleaved inner tube and welding that into place so it will not brake again in that spot. Just needed to know if the material can be welded.

I have a stock 09 D8 lower arm. PM me if you want to buy it. It's in perfect shape, I just switched it out with Holz arms.

This what I did when I got BOTH my lower a arms on my 05 900 RMK. Can't even tell :D They actually seem stronger now, the peice I put in it was chromolly so that helps.

I do agree with the gentleman who posted above her. Do not weld or reenforce??(bad spelling i know) the a arms. It is better they go then your bulkhead. They do not cost to much either.

We had a ride today with the newly welded arm with no problems, its still a little bent but its on and working.
Will replace it with a new or second hand one if any one has one to sell.
