Broken axys spindles ridning without a ski

So here is the crude version just to prove the concept, they worked great last season. Pricing will be coming shortly.

Chris

Hummm . . . interesting idea for putting wheels on the sled to move about the shop.

Will the wheels also go on the inside so the overall width of the sled is not changed? That would be sweet! :)

That is the plan, we want it to work when you pull in a trailer or against a wall.

Rode this out and it's a pro ride chassis.

Quite the shear. Was the bulkhead salvageable?

If it was, let see someone do that with a XP/XM (or Rev).

I've torn up the lower arms on two different pro's twice - replace arm(s), and go. Much more adventurous fix on my doos...

Hopefully these will be priced fairly. (hint . .$129 for the pair is WAY too much).

And you will start a new thread as this is totally buried in a thread with a different title.

Cheers!

Just had to replace right side suspension. Upper, Lower, tie rod, instead of just replacing the one cheap front shock I put on a pair of Fox Float 2's, and ski carbide ( ski straightened out, with a little heat, when bent carbide taken off). Chassis survived no cracks. Got it back together and rode it, no hidden cracks opened up. And it handled fine so I am good. Got some black panels relatively cheap so I did replace the cracked panel, and I didn't have to replace front bumper but I did. Here's how it looked 6 weeks after incident

I had to laugh ... Rode a Edge Switchback at 75-80 MPH to the dealer over a half hour away ..

With NO left hand suspension !! Plan at first was to lean off one side and ride for a ways and switch out riders ...

Everyone got tired of that at about 5 miles

I took my turn and intended to force the belly in the snow and plow my way ..the sled kept trying to pull that side up and would dive back down !! (I was also planning a stick and tumble when it happened), the further I went it would skip a little further with more speed !!!

So I pinned it and got ready for the big one !! It would hit the ground and spray snow so far that the people coming the other way got out of the way !!

Best part of the story was after I got to the dealer and a customer came out they looked at me as I asked "Think they got one of those ?"

Only thing that topped him laughing was my buddy riding up and saying "Dude your crazy I was doing 70 and you pulled away from me !!

Best laugh we've had in a long time !!!!

Som Bitches wouldn't weld the trailing arm .. so we bought 6 hose clamps and grabbed a used carbide out of the trash , bent trailing arm straight and put Skag and clamps on , cobbled a bolt through the pulled Heim and headed to the bar before a Brisk 2 hour ride back at 80+ again !!

Guy at dealer said we wouldn't make it out of the parking lot:face-icon-small-win

I just "tried" installing these on my 17. Couple of questions, could probably just call TKI in the morning, but someone here may know or have advice.

Have these been installed on powdercoated spindles? Thinking IF I can get them in they will need to be pounded in. Thinking thats gonna destroy my powdercoat, not too excited about that.

To my IF- are the 17 spindles slightly different? It looks to me like the center vertical "support piece" of the spindle that the rear of these supports sits against is not a straight edge, its smaller at the top and bottom and thicker in the middle. The rear of the support is straight.
