Bring back the manufacturer fight thread

It's kinda funny really.....
Seems pretty standard that just about everyone in the turbo scene has either screwed one another or has bad blood somewhere! Can't count how many times/places I've heard stangers name dragged through the mud for supposedly screwing other kit builders over, heard story's of bad blood with Ovs and Simmons, rk tek and Ovs, many more story's with stanger, story, travis and Garr involved. Seems like they all are out for one another.
But all of this is under wraps. Untill you tell the person your buying parts from what kit you have. Then you hear an earful about how much your kit builder is a POS. I would have rather had that stuff aired out on here where we can read it, rather then finding all this stuff out after you bought the kit. And maybe when using a open forum such as this they would be more civil beings they know everyone is watching! Instead it's all some big secret and the longer your in the turbo realm you keep uncovering layers and layers of this chit.

I agree Snowmow. There's alot more to this story than meets the eye.

Funny how one Moderator gives you a thumbs up and a helpful answer and another moderator deletes your post?

How it all played out would have told you what kind of people they are. We are in the age of knowing a lot more than what the manufactures think we do.
And that's a good thing, transparency and honesty mean everything to me. And if a company wants to try and screw another i would like to know. Same goes for a company that doesn't support things that I support. I don't think that stuff should be hidden.

Social media weather we like it or not, has opened up a whole new realm of consumer knowledge. The consumer still makes the ultimate decision in his/her mind what they want to buy with their money. But for a somewhat open forum to dictate which of that info gets to me seems censored to say the least. I'm not for the hiding of True information nor am I for company's out to get one another. I'm sure vipec and aero have talked many times about what happened. Maybe nothing was resolved. But because the power of consumer knowledge maybe the thought of the outside world knowing what happened, may have resulted in some sort of closure in the deal. Guess we will never know.

Every company knows damn well what they put on the line to post comments on one another. Don't think that should be censored to the point that we can't see it..... If they sink their ship, it was Their fault. Every manufacture should have a bit of respect and a little fearfulness of what social media can do. And that should only encourage them to keep their business practices CLEAN!! Not dirty. Cause in the end, we will all find out anyway.

From another thread

I take a day or two off from Snowest and I miss the best reality show/reality snow in the last six months.
At the very least, pm me the whole thread so I can eat some popcorn with a beer.
I have been trying to start some entertainment/ juicy stuff myself with minimal success and then a few manufacturers get into it and by the time I tune back in, the thread gets closed.
Come on mods, that's why we pay 70 bones/year so we can see this stuff. Subscribers pay more bills than advertisers so if they want to air their dirty laundry, let 'em have at it!!!!

You pay $70 a year?

So the vendor who pays $500 a year gets special treatment ? While the 10,000 guys who pay $70 per year are 2nd class. Is that what your trying to say ?

Dam and all this time I thought SW was a community of snowmobilers 4 snowmobilers and not the guy who just pays more.

I know with 100% certainty that this is fact and your statement has reaffirmed this.

DPG

Ask Scott he through out the # ... Should the number even matter ?

DPG

I didn't pull any numbers out of the hat $70 is what the moderator posted....my point is the amount he or she pays shouldn't matter. It creates more division than unity and as snowmobilers we are better off united not divided.

DPG

Uh, no you are reading WAY to deep into my question. I asked "you pay $70 a year?"
Not my number. OPs numbers.

Great posts...100% on point

That should be a HUGE flag to all the Moderators and Harris Management that Honest Open Well Thought Out and Articulated Communication IS Paramount to their success in this Venue and unless the advertisers are intentionally fleecing the consumer they should want the truth to be heard also. It creates a win win situation for all-the consumer stays informed and it keeps the businesses honest. IMO

I can Understand the Moderators asking us to reword or delete our individual posts if it is not factual or hearsay, but when we can factually defend our opinions, then I feel it is our duty as consumers to voice that, to inform others of the _________the said vendor did or did not do that they promised they could or would.

My two cents

Guess the mods approach to this situation is just let us vent, and hope the Thread gets buried and forgotten in a few days. Pretty standard.

What a waste of time typing anything..... Might as well delete this one boys....... Nothing said by anyone of "importance" so no need for it to take up server space!

It doesn't matter what turbo kit maker you talk about, someone has had a problem. Most of the time, it is probably self inflicted by the owner. Other times not. Turbos by there very nature are not for people with little to no mechanical ability. Unfortunately, there are plenty of guys with turbo sleds that have no business on a mod sled. If you ride a mod, don't bitch about lost days of riding. It comes with the territory.

This thread had nothing to do with a consumer with problems. It was about the suppliers having Issues with each other.

Actually, this thread seems to be complaining about another thread that people were complaining about each other complaining. Is that about right. Never saw the other thread cause I have a life and don't live on Snowest.
