Brett Farve

So I'm living in the mid-west and wondering what the rest of the country is thinking about this guy. I am a fan of the Packer TEAM but watched this guy take over and was with the opinion the guy should leave. We all watched him crying about his retirement here and he turned and burned.

Opinion?

IMO he's still one of the top 5 QB's in the NFL. How good did the pack do without him this year? And the Jets are a way better team now that they have him. This is just another example of the media slamming a guy who has done nothing but good for the NFL for a long time

in my opinion he should retire, hes thrown enough interseptions thoughout his career. i dont think you could rate him in the top 5 though. he was better than average thats about it.

im a pack fan here to my 2 cents is he was a great qb when he first started got to much press or somethin then fell on his face i was glad to see him retire i really think hes gettin to old. although i did think when he went to the jets it was gonna be another testaverty (sp) thing. guess i ate my words on that one.

I'm no Packer fan, but when he was in his prime he was FUN to watch.

He's definitely a few years beyond his prime now though.

His experience would make him an adequate back-up, but he's beyond the point of being able to take the weekly physical punishment that position involves.

He is definetely a better than average QB...what was that game his year that he had 400 plus yards and 6 TD's? If he can post those numbers he is still one hell of a QB. Yes, he messed up big time because of his ego. He didn't study the playbooks and he got burned, he didn't know his receivers routes and that burned him bad...it ruined the Jets playoff hopes and caused numerous interceptions. I think he has another couple of good years, whether that be as a starter or a back up.

Brett's been real good for a long time, and is still better than average. Like mentioned before the pack didn't do sh!t without him this year. It's funny how the media has harrassed him for the last several years about retirement.

The day after his dad died about 6 years ago?? Huge game for him! If he's going to come back I think he needs to put in the time and study playbooks and game films so he can get to know their offense better. He still throws one helluva fastball.
