Breaking and Entering

All Dominos should be shut down. J-Fly, including the one on Blue River Parkway in Silverthorne. The manager is contaminated.

My dumb *** locked my keys in my business one night after hours (and after beers).... at like midnight LOL. Anyways, so me and a couple guys are standing around in the dark trying to find a way in, and the cops drive by....of course they come in and ask what the hell we're doing, and I explain. No big deal, but they had every reason to question me, even tho I was doing nothing wrong. Wouldn't you WANT the cops to be on the lookout for people breaking into your $h1t?? Once we got it all squared away, we had a couple laughs, they carried on the patrol and we carried on to the bar.....biiiigg ****in deal. You want to cry because your white, black, brown or french....that's your problem not theirs.

so the sidewalk is now considered in your home and a private setting?

read the police report........the homeowner followed the police officer outside to the street where many people witnessed what happened..... I am pretty sure he was arrested for what happened outside and not inside the home

Here is the police report, go read it:
http://www.wikileaks.com/leak/henry-gates-arrest-report-2009.pdf

Due to the tumultuous manner Gates had exhibited in his residence as well as his continued tumultuous behavior outside the residence, in view of the public, I warned Gates that he was becoming disorderly. Gates ignored my warning and continued to yell, which drew the attention of both the police officers and citizens, who appeared surprised and alarmed by Gates‘ outburst. For the second time I warned Gates to calm down while I withdrew my department issued handcuffs from their carrying case. Gates again ignored my warning and continued to yell at me. It was at this time that I informed Gates that he was under arrest.”

Gates never left his porch:

As I descended the stairs to the sidewalk, Gates continued to yell at me, accusing me of racial bias and continued to tell me that I had not heard the last of him. Due to the tumultuous manner Gates had exhibited in his residence as well as his continued tumultuous behavior outside the residence, in view of the public, I warned Gates that he was becoming disorderly. Gates ignored my warning and continued to yell, which drew the attention of both the police officers and citizens, who appeared surprised and alarmed by Gates's outburst. For a second time I warned Gates to calm down while I withdrew my department issued handcuffs from their carrying case. Gates again ignored my warning and continued to yell at me. It was at this time that I informed Gates that he was under arrest. I then stepped up the stairs, onto the porch and attempted to place handcuffs on Gates.

Again, the guy was being a D-Bag but he was not on public property and should have never been arrested. The best chance they had was a noise violation, but given it was the middle of the day that probably wouldn't have happened either.

2nd Cop Figueroa: We Went by Book in Gates Arrest

BOSTON – The only other Cambridge police officer who was in the home of renowned black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. during the confrontation that led to his arrest said Friday that he and the arresting officer followed procedure.

Patrolman Carlos Figueroa said in a police report that he heard Sgt. James Crowley, the arresting officer, ask for Gates' identification and heard Gates say, "No, I will not!" He also said Gates was shouting at Crowley, calling him a racist and saying, "This is what happens to black men in America!"

Figueroa said Crowley did what he was supposed to do when he asked Gates for identification, because they were investigating a report of a suspected burglary.

"Part of our protocol is to make sure we know who is in there (the home) and legally in there," Figueroa told The Associated Press.

Cambridge police have been defending themselves against allegations of racial bias for arresting Gates in his own home for disorderly conduct even after officers realized he was there legally. The charge was dropped five days later.

Unions representing Cambridge officers and surrounding communities planned a news conference Friday to support the officers and respond to criticism from President Barack Obama, who said police "acted stupidly," and from Gov. Deval Patrick, who said Gates' arrest was "every black man's nightmare."

Officers responded to the home near Harvard University July 16 after a woman called 911 and said she saw two black men with backpacks trying to force open the front door. The woman, Lucia Whalen, has not responded to repeated attempts for comment.

Gates has said he returned from overseas trip and found the door jammed. He maintains he turned over identification when asked to do so by the police.

He said Crowley arrested him as the professor followed him to the porch, repeatedly demanding the sergeant's name and badge number because he was unhappy over his treatment.

Friends and fellow officers — black and white — say Crowley, who was hand-picked by a black police commissioner to teach recruits about avoiding racial profiling, is a principled police officer and family man.

Obama stood by his assertion that police did not need to arrest a Harvard scholar. Obama said in an interview with ABC that he has "extraordinary respect" for the challenges and hardships that law enforcement officers face every day in their line of work.

"From what I can tell, the sergeant who was involved is an outstanding police officer, but my suspicion is probably that it would have been better if cooler heads had prevailed."

Patrick, once the top civil rights official in the Clinton administration and now, like Obama, the first black to hold his job, also supported Gates. "You ought to be able to raise your voice in your own house without risk of arrest."

Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert Haas said Thursday that Crowley was a decorated officer who followed procedure. The department is putting together an independent panel to review the arrest, but Haas said he did not think the whole story had been told.

The department has also so far refused to release the 911 tapes of the initial call or any tapes of radio transmissions Crowley made to headquarters to report that Gates was under arrest.

"Sgt. Crowley is a stellar member of this department. I rely on his judgment every day," Haas said. "I think he basically did the best in the situation that was presented to him."

If Gates still isn't happy, let him sue the Pd. After his pal BO horned into it, that ought to fire things up real well. The real racist is BO. In 1994 he stated he was against reparations for slavery because it wouldn't go far enough. We can look forward to him jabbing us with the race card every chance he gets for the rest of whatever term he has. Don't forget all the statements Michelle made. They really don't like this country. He will apologize to the rest of the world about how bad a country we are but he won't apologize for insulting a policeman who was doing his job. Time to get ready for the 2010 election!

Right on pizza boy! When your pothead girlfriend is getting raped and she calls 911, and all the cops are coming to help and one of them makes a mistake, you be the first one to demand a vehicular homicide charge! You could even take both sides and say they didn't get there fast enough and now your best friend is dead! Darned cops just can't do anything right.

Or, to better compare this story to the one you posted: your girlfriend got raped or murdered and the police of course didn't get there fast enough so the bad guy got away. But now they find him and get into a high speed chase. Oh no, the bad guy is not abiding by the laws, everyone shut it down! Let this guy get away!

I'm pretty sure you'd want them to pursue right? Now you can start talking about how cops are undertrained for pursuit driving even though you have no idea.

I'd like extra sauce please.

this is a perfect example, if LE goes the speed limit, suspects get away and instead of a bar fight that get broke up it escalates to a stabbing or murder or someone get brain damage, but if someone walks out in front of a speeding car with lights and sirens then the driver is at fault. i feel bad for the pressure cops have to deal with and i have not always been the best while getting arrested but when i have broken the law i am tankful (even if annoyed) that they caught me and prevented me from hurting others.

and the same people that say you are not qualified will say you are over paid, i do feel that there is alot of bs spending no offense guys what the department gets here for funds is ridiculous but it ran by the government what do you expect, i do wish we could waste less and pay more to officers and offer more psych monitoring for new officers and officers returning from war. i think if you were paid more there would be few azz hats doing it and more people that actually care, i know a lot of good guys that would never be a cop cause of the **** you go through for no money.

Seriosuly tho....everything aside, is this really a matter for the president?? It's a little local police deparment mishap.....happens every day.

If my *** gets thrown out of a bar, does the federal government really need to get involved?

It seems being black in America has really held these men back....the guy is a Harvard professor and rubs elbows with the president.....uh, sorry guys, the social scale doesn't go much higher, what else do you want from us white boys??
