Break In Ride

Hello

I just bought two new 2011 M8 and need to break them in with a nice long ride, at least one tank of fuel. I would like to take my kids. So it would be the wife and two kids. Any suggestions for a good riding area with the following considerations:

less than 3 hours from Kirkland, WA
Low Avy risk terrain
Rolling meadows (not all trail riding)
Nice scenery

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Joel,
Seems like any of the suggested places would be good, as would the RimRock area, although it would really push your three hour travel limit.

Are your kids sledders? 70 - 90 mile easy (slow) ride on un proven sleds could turn into a long cold day with weather and/or sled issues. :face-icon-small-con

If the timing worked out, D and I would be willing to tag along, just in case. . .

Let us know.

Maybe look into Lake Wenatchee/Fish Lake.

I am not so worried about untested sleds. I have 3 so a breakdown is not my worry but being close to home in case one does go bad, the kids or weather craps out is. I want to be able to pull the plug and get home in a reasonable time.

I am interested in the riding area though. I have never rode in Washington State so where would I drive to unload? Is there a nearby snow park? Any close by accommodations i.e. snotel?

Thanks for the offer if assistance, very appreciative!

Cheers

Our breakin ride today was 119 miles from stampede to almost whistling jacks but we got turned around and were afraid of running out of gas. all rode riding because there is a lot of stuff poking out and a lot of stuff in tracks that people have hit! 200ish more to go! don't miss the turn like this guy near easton area! who's track was this? thats is not what we mean by "break in" that is broken!

Is that a burned down sled, as in all the way down? Did you say a few words over the body?
