Brake Fluid Reservoir

New here and just bought a 2006 900 RMK. Hope I didn't make a mistake buying it? In regards to the brake fluid reservoir, should you see fluid through the sight glass? And do you just remove the top cover to add fluid? Went for my first ride last Saturday, and blew a belt. Have to switch to the 11115 belt. Alot of good information here on this site.

Not sure what you mean by see it through the site glass. just make sure it is full.

As for the belt, I use gates extreme PU44X4640 on my 900's and have never blown a belt

Thanks for the reply. There is a clear sight on the brake reservoir cover and I do not see any fluid looking down into the sight glass. Should I see liquid? Thanks for the Gates belt tip, I will look up the cost on this one.

Sight glass is totally useless.

I get the belt from a place called Pats Small Engine repair in Isanti MN. The new part number is AD44X4640 and the cost is $52 http://www.psep.biz/store/polaris_snowmobile_xtreme_belt.htm
