Brake Drag Fix?

Anyone come up with a final answer for this problem? Mine still drags as evidenced by the groove the pads have worn into the rotor as well as the rotor's hot temps after prolonged riding with little braking. If I'm going to the dealer to get my oil cap warrantied I might as well get them to warranty this problem too - if there is a fix.

Thanks,

G

The only thing I can think of is the brake pistons are gunked up or marred in such a way that they will not release when the brake fluid pressure is relaxed. You might try to remove the brake pads and inspect the pistons. It is something simple like that that is causing you grief.

I have found..

I never set my parking brake..

Really didn't hear a brake noise.. A little bit till the pads got warm.. but really no noise..

TILL..

Went west.. Parking Brake was set in trailer!

Every day out west.. (Never set Parking Brake again..) In the Morning i would hear brake noise till about 3 miles up the trail..

Using the brake would make the noise quite down. But still a little hang up! GRR

The First Day was the worst!!

3 of my buddies took there pro's in and had a warranty done on the brakes for a drag problem...it is like the hole in the master cyl is too small and has a restriction i heard??

tri city has some springs you can put between the pads.. I have them, but haven't installed as mine really don't hang up any more.
