Actually, there is a guy (mtn lion guide) around here who takes "strays".
He has hounds too. He has to train then somehow.

I have run a few "strays" with my hounds also, It's lot's of fun and there's nothing better for a young hound, you don't want to get caught though

If you have trees or a wooden fence, just shoot it while it is in front of it. Works good it can't go anywere because the arrow is stuck. Did that to one on a bench a while ago. LOL!

Use a bludgeon head that are designed for shooting rabbits and shoot the damn cat in the head. That way you don't have to worry about the arrow sticking in the cat........believe me it works well.
