Bouncing speedo?

Just had a deadly midnight pow session tonight, but one wierd thing is going on. My speedo is bouncing when I'm idling?? Everything is working fine, except my brake light, but the light could be do to some moisture in the assembly. A new slp led at that. Any ideas guys?? Please don't tell me it sounds like my voltage regulator or something like that.....It bounces all over the place. Thanks!

I had an 05 that did that and it was the speedo pickup, was fixed under warranty. It would bounce all over and if I switched from tach to speedo then the digital display would fluctuate as well. Try that:beer;

Mine does this also, but if I wiggle the wire coming from the speedo sensor it goes away.. seems there is a problem with these.. This is not uncommon from what I have been told.

I fired mine up today for the first time in a couple months and noticed my speedo bouncing also... never has done this before and seems to 'slow down' after a few minutes... :face-icon-small-dis

I fired mine up again today and again it was malfunctioning... showing about 35-40 mph at idle:eek: I unplugged the speed sensor on the clutch side just inside the panel and it stopped immediately. I guess I need a new speed sensor this year too:face-icon-small-dis

i would pull he speedo housing off and clean all the grease out of it, including the sensor and fill with new lithium cold temp grease and try again...might just need a good cleaning..worst case a new sensor ;)
