I'm gonna ride this at 2000' at home and 6-10,000' in the hills. I dont' wanna do a pipe or reeds yet. What are the simple things I should do right off the bat? Carl's clutch kit? Venting? Gearing? Can? What are you guys doing that makes them better? Thanks

After the small amount of testing on the new motor that's been done the best bang for the buck is , IMO, better boards , carls clutch kit, PCIII, your choice of rizer (4in) and lots and lots of deeep white snow with several days off work, did I say days Iment weeks

K i think I should know what a PCIII is but can someone fill me in?

The power commander 3 is a fuel control box that allows you to fine tune fuel delivery. Its the equivilent to having every size jet on a carbed sled, but all you need to do is press buttons.

I would go with vents, boards, and lower gearing before anything. I don't know that you need to go as low as 19/42 but at least 19/41 should be done.

Footwell vents, stirrup vents, side panel vents, pretty much all the venting you put on it will be a great improvement.

Anyones boards are an improvement but the Feethookers are really the best bang for the buck IMO.

All the warning decals and underhood foam should be stripped off/out.

Clutch kits are great but if you go with a pipe later you'll need to change the clutching again anyways.

it's only money

I would do 2 cool vents first from Tammy Schoen, Owner

and then better boards

I ride an RMK and the most critical thing that sled NEEDS is new floor boards.

These are in stock and ship usually in 1 day. $178 shipped

We put a boondocker control box on a similar sled to what your doing to yours, and in my opinion it was a waste of money. Unless your are going to port and pipe with some head work you won't gain a thing. You are going to have the same sled with or with out it on a stock sled. SLP can, SLP air dox, clutching with the belly busters, carbon tech reeds, v-force will not hold up, 500 miles and they are toast. and yes for sure the Better Boards[/B][/B]If it was me I would put the SLP pipe also makes a huge diffrence. With those things you will have a smile on your face all day.

Just my two penny's
