Bought a new drill!

After my Craftsman 6amp drill burned out, I had to find a new drill. I am building a replica of the great wall of china out of ties. I needed a drill that would be able to drill a 1/2" hole through 3 ties without burning out. I bought a milwaukee 300-20 8 amp drill. I have got to say that this little drill kicks arse. My Craftsman was always having trouble drilling the holes, but with the wilwaukee doesn't even lug down at all. great drill!

I shouldn't say anything about our drill but the one on the farm is ancient. We drill 1 inch holes through everything from 6" posts to 24" line posts. It doesn't have a name on it and is all steel. They say their dad bought it at least 30 years ago. No new brushes but a couple of cords.

sounds like an old war horse!

Hold on to that Sucka!!!! I remember the first time I got my hands on a big 1/2 drill, it was attached to a honing stone and I was going to town on a Chevy small block, next thing I know both my arms are bruised up and drill wound up the cord and unplugged itself. Not exactly sure what happened but when it did, the death grip I had on it kept me from letting up on the trigger.

Ya, I wouldn't want to get bucked off the top of my wall!
