bought a 9 sec. (supposedly) camaro today w/pics!

Sounds like the buyer is just as much to blame as the seller to me. Buyer beware!

your right.. i should have paid more attention but, in this case, the guy told me straight up all the car needed was a starter.. like i said, his words were "i wouldnt fawk anyone like that".. guess what, he did!!!

in my opinion, the point is, he knew it was fawked and didnt say anything about it..

i guess im pissed about it because i wouldnt do anything like that to someone and i got it done to me.. oh well, live and learn..

I don't know the kind of rockers that broke but I would make sure there are no needle bearings that cycled throught the mill. Oilpan?

To be safe, it is only a 20 minute job to pull the motor and give it a once over to see if the bottom end looks good. Put in new bearings and an oil pump if everything looks good. At least you won't be screwing the next guy.

UPDATE:

ive spent the last few days of my life messing with this car. took the heads, cam, lifters, pushrods etc out of the car.. got some rebuilt heads, new cam, lifters and pushrods.. put it all back together and suprisingly, it actually runs.. my bud took the carb to rebuild it as it is gummed up..

next step will be if it will actually drive.. ill let you know in a couple days..
