Boot update

Any updates on what boots will not rip up kick starting... The cr500 killed my boots in 5 rides.... It's not hard to start but the design of the kick start comes really close to the pegs... I know there was a thread earlier but I was looking for updates.

I'll look at what brand i'm using when I get home. On my KX500 I replaced the tunnel bolt with an allen head and I kick toe-down and slightly heel out to clear everything. 150+ hours on these boots!

For me I think it is my foot peg... So now if I mis kick the kicker goes in my boot.. Comfy... It ripped an3 inch hole right above my arch.. I will look into the bolt though...

I tore a hole in the toe from the peg and ripped the side of the boot clean off with that bolt head.

Honda's geometry is a little different, though.

I tore a set of Klims in 10 seconds on my 500. I asked a friend what he used and i came up with Dakota X Toe boots. Going on to my second season. Waterproof and warm. Also steel toe protection which i think is important on the snowbike. My friend broke some toes last year. Here is a link to the type i used:
