saturday was another great day in boondockers paradice:) hit windigo about 9am under blue skies, by the time we hit the ridge things were getting nasty:)got king kat back out, he's still one hurting puppy but he put out his best effort!!! he could only make it for about 2/3 of the day and then his ankle was giving out, told him not to worry what we do in that amount of time would be a lifetime adventure for others;) found another way over the ridge, love sliding down those chutes!!! i was screaming with delight the whole way down, i think king kat was just screaming at me for taking him down there:eek: promised my wife i'd take it easy on him, he did come back in one piece this time, thats easy enough for me!!! got over the ridge and hit the many lakes on the other side, love tearing up all that untouched pow. headed over to the forbidden zone, couldn't even get king kat to highmark with me:( headed up mangina hill to make a call, was sweet heading up there with no tracks at the top, a little erie when the clouds keep blowing through and you can only see 50 feet ahead of you. headed to the warming hut from there but just as we were gonna turn down the trail a group of about 6 riders from the OTHER SIDE was pulling in so being me and king kat are kind of private peeps we oppted to head back towards kelsay. got to roberts mountain and white out conditions, sweet pulling that climb with only 10 feet of visibility, didn't even know i was at the top until i almost pegged a tree:) got back to the truck and was still light and still had gas, what a wierd feeling!!!! killing me not to be able to go today, with the fresh that came yesterday and last night should be some great riding today. just seems impossible to find riders good enough and motivated enough to go with me, or maybe they all just think i'm crazy... where are all the REAL mountain riders???
got to go out to the jeep and get my camera, will post pics later today. dry creek store was closed when we went by, needed batteries for the camera so only got a couple.

good to hear you guys had a good trip. i got the super phazer dropped off in medford so hopefully the thing will start easier. i told them i could use a little more power but they told me i was going to have to get a turbo like dave. anybody out there want to donate one to me, id put it to good use:D

Yeah good luck that is why I bumped up to an 800. Less than turboing the phazer.
cant see spending 5g on a turbo or supercharger.

even with a turbo don't know if you'd get that view with a phazer;) dave how about some team summit pics??? heres a couple from saturday...

Sandman, ever ride up north? Have a small group up here and no one's currently injured.

Everythings for sale my friend :) 'Cept my balls. Them's fer rent :p

hey dave how's that new rental business working out for ya:eek: do you have to leave your credit card number in case there are any damages??? do you do a scratch and dent report before they go out:):):) seems like your equiptment is kinda old, what kind of gaurantee they'll work???

franz, don't get up north too often, why do you have someone in your group you're mad at??;) did ride out of cresent a few weekends ago, the only causualty that day was due to one fellows over indulgence the night before!!!

Lol, my buddy's dragging his a$$ on fixing his sled. He seems to bounce better than his sled does. There's still three of us left, even an M1000 to make you feel at home. I'm talking about the St' helens/Adams area.

i haven't been, king kat rode mt st helens once, had white out conditions, said was scary!!!! maybe we can work something out, or if you guys ever head south let me know. may be headed that way if i can find a dealer with a 2010 M8 i can demo...

For some reason St'Helens gets socked in alot. It's so open and gets the worst of the clouds rollin in. On Adams you can always ride the trees if it gets bad. Couple of the guys wanted to try out Shasta a few weeks ago then it started snowing again up here. I'll be down that way for that trip when it comes up. Let me know if you can work something out. That 'danger element' you got going might work for us.

Sandman, We were up there Sat I'm sure we were not in exactly the same spot but real close, In the same burn anyway.
Sun we rode from the cabin to Elk lake what a miserable (but fun) ride the wifey got a little too cold and gore tex was not enough. 3 pr goggles 2 pr of gloves. Seems like I did the most whining though.
We hit some pretty nice powder up high on the way back.

I am having a great year watching the wife get into boondocking, She is still a little tenative but less and less every trip. She is starting to climb some and she is not so afraid of getting stuck. The guys I ride with a lot help her out when she does. What a gas to see her come blasting through the trees!

I just got an e-mail from the guy who plows my driveway at the cabin and he said we got 14-16" fresh yesterday (but he drinks alot)
See you up there I am sure

franz, we hit shasta usually at least once a year, is always better down there in march/april. seems they usually don't have much of a base before then. let me know when you guys are headed that way and we'll hook up. you guys should spend a day up in my riding area on the way down. may not have all the hype of shasta but i'll gaurantee i can show you a day or 2 of riding that will leave a large grin on your face:) especially if you like a little adventure thrown in with the danger element!!! will work on getting up north, seems the snow this year is hitting from salem up a lot more.

cw, how do we always miss each other??? when we were gonna pull into the warming hut one of the guys was on an orange king kat and i seem to remember one of the guys in your group had one. maybe the same guy? talked to a couple of guys from cresent, yes i do know a couple of peeps from the "dark side", your plow guys report was right on, in fact talked to a couple of them yesterday they were out boondocking around tipanongas and were having a heck of a time because the snow was sooo deep and THICK

Ron The Kid (tall)on the Orange King Cat (I gave him that noisy Can! He is my buddys son, it's kind of like giving your nephew a drum set!) was with us we just missed each other again. I am getting ready to "upgrade" the M8 with new suspension and some other "goodies" this summer. I am looking forward to Next season and this season isn't over yet.
The wife and I are heading over to the "Dark Side" Friday night I am not sure where we will be riding but I am for sure we will be going as high up as we can get. We might have to trailer from the house to the sno-park.
It was 40+ degrees up there today Snow level dropping to 3500 ft. for the weekend.

hey you can buy the float upgrade for your skid from ac for just a little under $600, was thinking about doing mine but am gonna buy a 10 M8, just gotta wait for next jan...

The floats are awesome. One of the items I would not go with out, especially if you have real rough trails to your play areas (not every thing is open like the east side of the Cascades). That 2010 looks sweet and pushing 160hp. I do like the seat better than the 09 and earlier, easier to stand up and doesn't give your upper legs quite a work out. My next upgrade to the m8 is a boss seat and slp exhaust system. Bring on the hp.

How far away from shasta are we talkin about to get to where you unload? Couple hrs? I'll bring it up during this weekends' ride. I think there would be three coming down, but it might be a few weeks. We'll bring extra heavy sedatives for all the injuries;) Your welcome to come up and ride with us anytime. PM me.
