Boondocker or Silber

Damn, the thread goes over 100 posts and then dies. I was hoping to start more pre snow drama.

Edavis dont bring me into your pissing match. Remember last year when we ended our conversation. I feel the same way. You are still at it being a POS bashing people, and there business.
Ill say again the reason you dont wrench is cuz you can't, all your tools came from Bobs closeouts and you abilities are just above my 8 yr old grandson. No one will ever make you ride a silber sled…in fact I dont think anyone would let your ride there silber sled. I got 1 new tune on my bully dog last year and never touched another thing all year ran 10-12 psi with 15% 110. Not only am I happy I am planning on putting a Silber kit on my 14 so I can pass my 13 down to my son. We rode 39 days last year in the mountains. Average 46 miles per day.

Bahahahhahahahaha.
Funny thing friscospicy is that I have never met Edavis nor have I heard of him or his sled. I am apparently about 2500 miles away from him but I put together that him and his sled are posers/trailer queens by his lame comments.
I about fell off my chair when he posted a pic of his sled with stickers on his bellypan which provided legal proof that he doesn't ride anything remotely close to deep and steep.
Where is Bob's closeouts? Sounds like a cool place for tools. Maybe I'll see Emavis at the bargain bin and we can have a sword fight with torque wrenches while throwing combination wrenches at each other ankles!
EMAVIS=clown

I think there are A LOT of ppl who don't wrench on anything because they would rather know its done right, so I don't really care if I have 30k worth of snap-on tools sitting in my garage or not. I pay good money so I know my sled runs day in and day out...

Here are a couple non "steep & deep" days in Colorado :face-icon-small-dis

You mean the Vohk Boondocker sleds ridden by Chris Burandt also need to be tuned......say it isn't so:face-icon-small-sho

Pay special attention to 2:10 and 3:10. Now am I ignorant like edavis and sledhead and proclaim this somehow represents all of all Vohk tuned Boondocker kits or do I think he was just getting it dialed in. Yep...just getting it dialed in and I'm sure it's spot on now :face-icon-small-coo

Bad bogs for sure.

Yea, on top of that mountain was an easy trail...:face-icon-small-dis

Here is some "trail" riding we did, that wasn't "steep"

I'm glad either of you have ridden with me and have no idea what you're talking about...

I don't doubt that you ride some steep stuff, just those other pics don't show it. Reminds me of this deep day on the trail we had a few years ago.

Breeze, was that up buff pass ? Sweet ride, we went up buff pass one day 2 years ago on the trail and had to play leapfrog to keep going the turbos could go forever but the breathing of the dust was so bad it still pushed you off the lead . FUN DAYS COMING SOON… you headed to togwotee this year?

ski
that was awesome ! holy crap you made my day !
i'll bet you could have cooked a steak on your clutch :face-icon-small-sho

thanks much

let it snow like that ^^^^:face-icon-small-hap

back to topic...... what was it again ? OH YEAH turbos

There are many aspects of the BoonDocker that I really like but I don't want to sound like a broken record or get into a whizzing contest with anyone. They sell excellent kits and have something for just about everyone. I hope we all have so much snow that we need turbos to get around!

All I have to add is Silbers 14 bully dog reflash kit is hands down the best running turbo sled I have ever ridden! Not gonna say I have ridden every kit out there but I have ridden quite a few turbo sleds and built a bunch myself. The sled with properly installed kit just rips, is very consistent form day to day, and has that stock like feel with way more power.

My vote is Boondocker. They have the MOST experience, thr most resources and technology, and the number of Boondocker kits on the snows doubles the amount of all the other kits combined.......and there is a reason for that. I say this with alk respect, but this is only a "question" on the internet. I feel like all the other companies band wagon customers get on here to promote their kits, but get on the snow and the choice is very clear simply by the number of BD kits. BD owners dont need to come on here and talk up their kits to help sales....their kits sell themself. But lets take this a step further. The top RMSHA racers, Keith Curtis, Erin Bukelman, and Cole Wilford, ALL RUN BOONDOCKER TURBOS. Think that is a conincidence? Those guys wouldnt buy the 2nd, or 3rd best kit. Or take a look at your top back country riders, Chris Burandt, Dan Adams, Dan Gardiner, Matt Entz, Sahen Skinner....they ALL RIDE BOONDOCKERS TURBOS. Sorry but these examples alone prove and answer the answer to this question....you can try to argue it, but the proof is in the pudding...and the numbers. And just one more point, Carls Cycle and Vohk are arguably the top Polaris performance shops in the country...guess what, they run Boondockers. Pretty sure Jack Struthers and Eric Woog(Vohk) know a thing or two. Again, i mean no disrepect to any of the other turbo kits, they are nicely made, but this should clearly answer the question.

LOL heres one for ya do you think these guys are putting down cold hard cash for the turbo's there running or for that matter the sleds there riding. I'll bet they don't even pay for the trailers they store the sleds in. Sorry to break the news to you but that's how they sell there product buy Jordan shoes because they make you jump higher LOL.

Ive had two turbo kits, one Silber and one Boondocker. Never Silber again.

Talked to the previous local Silber dealer here a couple weeks ago, even he couldnt get any support from Silber, so he decided to stop dealing their kits.

His problems that he adressed to Silber was, melted snow would get into the turbo when the sled was standing still, and freeze up. Bully Dog was not water proof and started to act up. He tried contacting Silber numerous times, but he still havent heard from him, and this is was last season.

In my opinion, i will gladly pay $1000 extra for a Boondocker kit, where I can get support and help if needed. Never had any problems getting help, either from dealer, Boondocker, or others with the same kit. My snowmobile season isnt long enough for me to mess with tuning, bogs, and broken components.

Ive now installed and tuned 4 Boondocker kits, and all run good with minor issues.

My 2014 Silber kit with Bullydog ran flawless last winter, it's one bad@*** pull the rope and go kit. Ran an HM turbo the year before and well lets just say I wasn't a very happy camper............

now here is a new one. melted snow getting into the turbo? don't see how this is possible if the kit is installed properly. also don't see how the bully dog has anything to do with silber. it is well known they aren't waterproof units.
