Boondocker kit for AXYS

Did they release any info for it? Some info from the source would be nice rather than speculation but the pics are pretty disappointing compared to what others have released already, I hope they have some cool features that aren't shown.

That turbo is great , I've been riding one the last 3 seasons.

Iike you said all the piping...on the external waste gate it's almost facing on a negative angle to the flow. On the standard kit the turbo to stinger pipe has 2 different pipes welded together , that don't line up so good.. Why not make it one nice mandrel bent pipe..

I do think these might be kinda a preproduction kit on VOHKs sleds not the final product

I spoke with Erik at the show and he said these are pre-production units. Specifically he pointed to the air filter and said it was just there for the show, the actual routing would be different.

I asked him about installation cost, he is quoting $500 to install, $ 800 if you want his tech support and setup with him to your riding style.

Well looks like exhaust down pipe from pipe to turbo is you normal car exhaust pipe. And the hose clamps used looks like from hardware store also is there a stainless exhaust housing option for the turbo the high temp heat pait on the housing will be baked off in no time then it just gets rusty and crappy looking. I am not trying to bash the kit just trying to figure out why people were so excited obout this new axys kit. Is there something I am missing?

The pieces used are for what they were intended to. Is there a fancy hose clamp or down tube that makes a kit run better? The paint will hold up just fine, btw.

Can you imagine if you got rid of the crappy fittings and pipe how good it would run. I am not even a big BD fan, but if they run like that who can complain.

I am a boondocker fan. But nothing from that video impressed me.

Maybe that because I was expecting more than what I have............because that video doesn't really showcase anything that i don't already have.

I understand it didn't show any big pulls. Just seemed like really good throttle response and clean.

Vid is tough to analyze I guess. I just didn't hear the typical brrrrrr, I hear when 90% of the people crack the throttle.

I hear ya. I'm not
Into big pulls really. My 13 boondocker is just as responsive and spot on as that one was though. Granted my kit was a $7000 kit though. But mine is also now 3 years old.

I was going to say , at 17 seconds you'd hope a turbo could pack the skis a little better than that...
Maybe they should fix the pipe

I got mine this week and it was installed yesterday. Not sure when the rest are being shipped but I assume they are close. Intercoolers are still a month out or so from what I understand but is very easy to install. Running mine this weekend with everything minus the intercooler. I'll report back Monday
