Bondi engine XP air box

If they really gained 10 hp they would be sold out of them and could ask 1,000.00. They dont. Some flatlanders are saying they have produced gains but dyno tests say zero. sj

You guys don't understand the intricate nature of this product. You remove those restrictive carb thingies mating the box directly to the intake boots that you enlarge with a hole saw. It's really basic.:D:beer;

I've had the Bondi since I got my 08 XP.
I think there is a gain, but I'm not sure I'd support the claim of 10HP.

If you have an 08, upgrade your intake to the 09 setup - much better.
If you can't get air into the system, opening up the internals is a waste.

I ran accross two fella running the Timbersled intake system this weekend - couldn't believe any reputable dealer would still install that system. The areas around the pods were soaked w/ water/snowmelt. And you know where all of that humid clutch-warmed air is going!

MD.

on my website you can see the stock airbox makes 154 HP easily on a stock engine. How much HP does that Bondi box add?

You don't race dyno's guys, some of the best flat land guys in the biz are running them with huge success. A very well known tuner Billy Howard from Howards inc swares by them even though dynotech did not support the unit. It works in the field sometimes you cannot measure real world gains on a dyno.

The bondi box has the capability to flow more air than the stock box. But the problem is that the stock box can support all that the engine wants in stock or near stock form. However, on a fully modified, super high rev engine there may be a gain. Otherwise, NO!!

I can only say you can't knock it till you try it...in the field.

I would like to see some pics

Does it use the stock intake on the hood or draw from somewhere else?

I tried it on my 08 xp last year (stock). Ran the bondi setup then went back to the trailer and put stock setup back on. Tested at 7000'-8000', all boondocking and climbing. Results.....packed up the bondi kit and sent it back.

Nuff said.
Well that wraps up another great thread. See you all next week!
