Bogs out and dies when giving throttle

Hi guys, on my last outing my '05 RMK 900 was running great for the first hour or so of the ride, then it started to bog while going down the trail and eventually died. It would start up first pull every time and idle, but as soon as any throttle was given, it would bog down and die. As I was messing around, I found out that as long as I was pulled up on the throttle lever while giving throttle it would not die, so I was able to ride back to the trailer using this technique, but it was still not running right.

I have read threads about similar issues, but haven't came up with too many ideas. Is this a TPS problem? Throttle cable tension problem? I am not the most mechanically inclined person, so I was hoping for some insight from this great community. I feel like the problem is fairly minor and would like to avoid taking it into my local dealer to have it fixed.

Thanks.

Make sure cable is adjusted. If cable tension is good then your throttle safety switch is no good, or the flipper is hanging up and not making the switch. The switch is built into the throttle block.

sounds like bad throttle safety switches or loose cable. i cut the wires for the switches cause they are a joke, run a tether..

you can test the switches by unplugging your kill switch and starting the sled, just shut it down with the key
