Boats, bikes 'n quads....

So I had this idea this morning, (ya, I know, it surprised me too!! ) is it possible to put a section on here for boats, bikes 'n quads? Most of us sledders have summer toys of some sort, so I thought if we had that it would keep this site more active over the summer months. What do you guys think? Is it even possible? I know there are other sites that have both (S + M ) but I'm only thinking of this site for the summer....

Just a thought.....

All you need is to drum up some support, and I would be happy to create a "Summer Forum" for things like this!

I like the idea also... I think there would probably be enough of us to make it good if there was a 'special place' for it, lol... But at the risk of sounding negative... don't we already have a place for that???











Fouled Plug Stuff not directly related to snowmobiles. ATVs, trucks, hunting, sports, boating etc. Please keep it clean.

Not knocking the idea at all, just asking why not put it in there?

My question is "What's the traffic in Fouled Plug?"

Is it being Lurked by a majority of of the members logging on?
Or would a separate section get more traffic?

I agree with Fordy also about already having FP for that...but I think having a section all on its own like the Dumpster would be good..You could do a sub form from FP??

Yes FP has been slow since the fireworks... but it is slowly regaining steam...

I guess I just dont know how well a separate "everything goes" type of forum would be... we tried that with the political zone and it came screaming to a hault once the political season business slowed down.... Of course, we also did the same thing with the Trucks/trailers and it is still active, not high traffic, but certainly active...

Kinda like as has been mentioned before, if you start spreading things out in a million sub-forums... how much activity are you going to have in each one?

I have a dual sport bike, so I have a interest in a Summer ride area.
If it's a sub-forum in Fouled Plug or a new sub-forum doesn't matter to me.
I would just like to see it where it will have the most exposure.

Personally, I would like to see a seperate summer riding area. I know for myself I rarely go to fp, so i wouldn't ever know that there is a summer riding area. If it has it's own area it will grab attention as soon as people sign in. I know there is other sites with summer riding, but it is only this one that really dies off in the summer, that might keep it more active. I think a lot of people look at both (or more) sites in the winter so why can't there be more then one site for summer riding??

So there would be no reason at all that we couldn't create areas for SnoWest Members to discuss a variety of NON-Snowmobiling topics inside of the Fouled Plug area.

I think a separate "summer" section for boats, bikes, quads would be a good idea.

Sure fouled plug could be used for such discussions, but it already contains such a vast array of topics that it would be hard to keep track of threads just related to boats, bikes & quads.

So I vote for a separate summer section for these sort of discussions.
