NOPE not yet .....
We have a sent Gov't about 1000 Letters BUT ....NO Response !!

We do have High Speed which I offer FREE of charge when staying at the HOLY SMOKE INN .....I also provide a Computer FREE for use there !

I have a phone hooked up at The Holy Smoke Inn also !

I hope within the next Year or so .....that We can join the rest of the World and have Cell Service and Voice Messeges for Our Phones ...( we just got call display 3 Years ago...

Man they can Fly to Mars but NO CELL PHONE SERVICE ??? THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HUMM.....

Hey Turbo Monster !!

Well right now We have a Temp. of -4 C and Snowing Lightly.

The Forecast is for a BIG System for Thur./ Fri. after that it is showing Sunny with Cloudy Periods Humm....Looks like Great Weather for the Weekend !

I will be posting Avalanche Forecast on Thursday ! That Rain Crust Layer form Dec.5 is about 150cms. or more now down there sooooo PLAY SAFE !! More Snow means More weight !

Check back with Me Closer to the Weekend and I will know better what has already slid ...I hope it does NOW before the Weekend !!

its kind of ironic to see someone promoting Blue river for riding when Mr heli ski seems like he is convincing the gov't to take more areas away.

We have rode Blue River a few times over the last 5 years and have been guided by him 3 times. Never had bad snow anytime we rode and he knows where he's going trust me.

I don't know if you remember us Robin (Gene and Aaron from Lloydminster) you had just started fixing the Holy Smoke when we were there last and stayed with you guys. You gave us a little tour. I remember that Patti brought a pan of lasagna over for the poor boys in the cabin.

Hopefully we will see you this winter sometime.

Mr. Heli Ski does NOT OWN these Mountains !!!

BLUE JEWEL Also holds Tenure with the Gov't !

BLUE JEWEL Has the same Access to Gov't as He does !!

We just had Breakfast with Our MLA and He assures Me.... that Mr. Heli Ski ...is going to have to get used to the fact that the SNOWMOBILIERS are here to STAY !!

BLUE RIVER is OPEN !

Some Caribou Closers ....The Blue River Powder Packers Snowmobile Club holds a Permit for riding the Area We call" Groundhog ". The Snowmobile Club Manages that Area also , sooooo when you get to Blue River Stop on over at BLUE JEWEL OR...The Glacier Mtn. Lodge , The Husky Truck Stop ....We all Work together to Re-vive Blue River but also Help to Inform and Educate the Snowmobilers that come here ....so You all will have Great Local info.

Yes We Faced some Caribou Closers But ....so did everyone else ! Gov't announced PROPOSED Caribou Closers .....We are still Negotciating with Gov't on those PROPOSED Closers.

Mr. Heli Ski will NOT get His Way ! The Snowmobilers are HERE .....and They are HERE to STAY !

Soooooo Not to worry .....You can't kill Community Spirit !.....ALL The Locals here LOVE the Sledders ! and We ALL have a VERY Strong Spirit !

Come on out to BLUE RIVER .....We ALL will show You Gals & Guys a GREAT TIME !!

Avalanche Conditions are HIGH ....!! Due to a Rain Crust from early Dec. and 100-120 cms( or more) of Snow on Top of that ...YIKES !! VERY Scary ........

www.avalanche.ca Blue River is the " North Columbia " Range . I see they have a new Post right now for this Area . I will put up a Post about that soon !

WOW !!!.......

It is Snowing Snowflakes the size of Pancake's !!!!

I am VERY busy getting all the Sledders checked in for the weekend ....

Blue River has a Temp. of -3 and Snowing Moderate-Heavy off and on ....

We have received close to 20-30cms. of Fresh Powder in the last few days !!

Again I cant stress this enough !! The Avalanche is HIGH with the New Snow We have received in the last few days !!
