Blown Motor On My Nytro

not sure

Actually FACT they have more than just pulley prolblems...3 pages of problems I downloaded them for my buds that ride the sc..And yes they have an intercooler but where do they draw air from???Under the hood. So not only are they drawing hot air but then compressing this already hot air adds to this problem..And yes I AM biased towards the turbo. When I decided to go boost I read the many thousands of comments about turbo vs sc and I found a LOT more problems with the sc. I would have thought that a company would have these bugs worked out after 5 years of working on the product, and not let the customer figure it out and NONE of the repairs to the 3 pages are covered by them, The mcx box sucking water is fixed by my dealer as is the bigger sock to stop the icing:eek: And yes the mcx did come with a bigger fuel pump

not sure if your just an a$$ or just like to argue, i never said their wansn't problems with either, never said which one was better, personally, from what i have read the mcx is the better bet, but my POINT which seems to be whizzing by your fat head is that maybe a beginner that doesn't know what boost means would be better off on something that the boost is regulated by rpm, not a linkage. get it yet?

ouch... makes me not want to mess up riding a turbo, a few harsh comments, but i really have no clue what is what on a turbo. or any sled really, i am more of a pull and go, if it breaks i learn ahha. but really why should the dealer fx your screw ups/

We are giving the guy a hard time so that he doesn't do it again! He's kind of a slow learner! I think he is finally realizing that if he is seeing 18lbs and just has pump fuel that there is somthing wrong so he should check that his boost pressure valve isnt frozen or (what ever it is) or limp it home or something.

No.... you said they had pulley problems that were fixed a long time ago

And judging by your rude behaviour you are either 9 or drunk so have a good night:p

no, just hate it when people turn things into their own little bias without realizing the point intended, and a really good point on this one is that dealerships are everything also. i went with a sc not because they were the best, because the local dealership sold 9 sleds with them, only the first one had problems, and none since, they know this product the best and they take care of their customers. its working well for me but i havn't used it much yet so i really cant comment on its durability. ive checked my pulleys, oil, regularly and working on getting my clutching better and so far im happy. nothing loose, everything working like they said it would but only 500km so far. sorry about being so snotty, havn a rough day. and your probably right, you can find 3 pages of bad things about a sc on here, but you can find 3 bad pages about anything you want to on these forums. no im not 9, and i wish i was drunk. cheers!

Mcx Nytro monday sounds good to me
upnover if you ever in the okanogan and want someone to tour your around some good riding let me know

The thing I can't figure out with all this is that a sled that has clutching dialed for 12-14psi (if that was what it was supposed to be at) is not going to run at 18 psi without being on the rev limiter.

Very good point

But it's been established that even though this guy has had a boosted Apex for 3 years he's still a noob when it comes to turbo's. Some guys could care less about the mechanics of things(I'm that way with my truck) and just wanna ride the thing. Looks like everyone has gven him a hard time and some good guidlines(like when you see 18lbs and your runnin on pump....STOP and THINK)

For what its worth, myles run his mc apex at 18lbs on pump premium, however he does not use a head shim, he runs low comp pistons, this he told me himself last time we spoke,(4500 to 8000 feet).

that would be great, ive only been to mcbride and valemount, work is stressin me out, big time and going to have to say to $%%$ with work one of these days and go for it. its tough though, just bought out my partner, now work for two is killing me. how is the okanogan for sledding?

only 45! mine will peg the 60psi isspro in a blink of an eye! I see 45psi towing the trailer ......can I put twins on the nytro!! LOL

-Robert

same here only on a 100 psi iss pro. 62/12s300, s400 twins.pump fuel:face-icon-small-winbut anyways if you guys can afford the turbo kits for the sleds, race fuel or av gas shouldnt be an issue.

What I know about a turbo would fit in the a$$ of an ant, and would roll around like a marble in a boxcar......but it sure is fun pullin the trigger...bumping the boost to 17 lbs on straight av gas tommorow :D

That's crazy. 18 lbs. of boost and pump gas shouldn't even be used in the same sentence.
