Blow off on exhaust pipe?

I have seen some 2 stroke turbo kits with blow offs on the pipe. Why is this needed? Just trying to learn more about 2 stroke turbo kits.

Neil: I think you are seeing the external Tial wastegate. It runs from the end of the pipe and makes a Y and then goes into the turbo.

yeapers.. external WG/s in the middle of the pipe.

you can run them there and they dont really interefere with exhaust flow/pusles and still get good boost controll

external wastegate has alot better and quicker control then a internal gate. and yes. it also does not interfere with the air flow through the turbo like a internal gate.
I put a tial wastegate on every thing I own.

Yes I believe that you are talking about the External wastegate's. Thats what I use on all the kits I build now, as long as the parts are availiable. if you want anymore ifo Neil, give me a call.
