Blewett Pass

I'm looking for a place to do a family ride. Are the meadows at Blewett ridable yet?

AJ

My buddy lives at the end of reecer creek road and said a few sleds have been going by. He did say he had 6 inches at the house so there is enough for a road ride up higher but my crowd is to busy hunting to give a reliable report. I would bet its okay at lion rock.

Only if you're a gambling man. There is only 12-18" of unconsolidated snow up higher. Plenty for a good road ride, but we have quite a ways to go still.

AJ,
I spoke with Big Bob and he said that there is plenty of snow and he can sell you some new A-arms after you find it! Better wait for a bit.

Cheers,

Got a bit more patience now and riding is getting way cheaper.

Go at your own risk!

I would not go. Me and zxdoo7hm went on Saturday and the snow is not deep enough. We found rocks, grass, stumps, logs and had to cut our way through most of the roads as blown downs were blocking it. Another 2-4 weeks and she ought to be good. PM8.

Yeah, we went up Reecer to get some Christmas trees today and there were some guys riding but the rode closed signs were still down so I don't think it's ever legal to ride sleds yet.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa:face-icon-small-sho speaking of legal or not. Dont think you can legally chop down x-mas tree's where ever you like.:pop2:

most of the reecer side is national forest/dnr land. A Christmass tree permit used to be 5.00 available from any forest service office..you can either cut it or have a live one if you like to dig in the frozen tundra.

many of the roads may not have road closed, but that doesnt have anything to do with riding a sled. You may encounter tire tracks until that is up. Many of the roads in the Clockum area are not ever closed...even though they are groomed. A lot of green dot private logging property and the loggers can plow whatever they want regardless of wether its a groomed route or not..however most of the logging companies have been pretty good about communicating with the local groomers.
