Blacked out headlights

So, I've seen some pics of Cats on here with blacked out headlights. I'm assuming its just a cover for it, does anyone make some for Polaris? I have a Shift and I think it would look pretty sick with the light blacked out.

Paint

When I got mine hood painted I had the head light sanded down, filled in around edges with body sealer and painted...IMO looks better than the stick on covers but it's also permanent.

Possibly what you are seeing is actually a headlight vent kit that replaces the headlight with black vent material.

Flame question.

So, isn't there some liability in removing headlights. I mean, head-on with some church group, cause they didn't see you in the snow storm. Just asking.

So what do you do if something happens and you have to ride in the dark? Your sled does look pretty cool....but all kinds of things can happen that you would need to have a working headlight for. You could get lost and seperated from your group after dark. I take my kid sledding and if he had the only working headlight and we had to ride out after dark, that would not be good. I wouldn't mind a cover myself, but not permanent.

I never ride at night, I did have a rescue situation with a friend of mine once with a broken pelvis that went late into the night before they life flighted him out. I had to ride it out by myself in the dark. I admit it wasn't fun but it was an area I knew extremely well. Didn't give it too much thought when I did it, guess it's no different than the lexan hoods they sell...just try never to ride at night, I ride too crazy when I can see in broad daylight.
