Blackberry Question???

how do you get the VLINGO....I hate typing on my Pearl....hate it.

just google vlingo and download directly from their site..... the setup is a little weird, but I have installed it on 3 blackberryies now and it's always the same... you have to speak the phrase 3 times for it to learn your voice...so you keep hitting back and repeating the process thinking it's not going to work..

Has anyone figured out the Suretype option in portrait viewing? I'd like to be able to use it for one hand texting at times, but it's like it has a mind of its own. It doesn't matter how you push a button, it will always bring up a different letter on the scree.

if your talking about the full keyboard in landscape mode, then the buttons are programed for 2 handed input.... the letter is not centered on the button, they are skewed to the left of center on the left side and right of center on the right. so if you go to push an d with your right hand, it makes it almost impossible. your going to get an f almost every time..

the qwerty keybord works pretty good in landscape mode with one hand

Well that makes sense now. I usually use the full keyboard, but it's tough to use with one hand when I'm driving. Thats the one thing i miss about the old phone....being able to text one handed.

Someone else posted about not getting emails...I did have that problem a couple weeks ago. I called verizon and they had me go trough and delete some connections then re-establish them. All of sudden I had 80 emails pouring to my phone. They didn't know what caused the issue, but I got the impression it must be common by the way the tech sounded.

Got the Curve 8330 and love it...and addicted to it already. Our IT guys seem to like the Storm even though as mentioned previously, they were not ready for prime time when released. I guess getting around the Storm is different than the Curves & Pearls so if you're new to BB's there's nothing to un-learn.

Had the Storm for about 3 wks now and still not sure if I should have gone with the Curve.Fat fingures is the problem

If you'l got fat fingers on the Storm, you would have HATED the curve.

I've had the Storm sence it was out. I've had a few issues with mine, but nothing major. When I was having issues I thought I needed to go back to my curve, so I did. That lasted about 2 days till I missed the Storm & went back to it. The phone just does that much more & it works that much better than my curve.

EDIT--If your looking for a web site to help you with your BB, try www.crackberry.com It will anser any question you have on any BB for any carrier.

that's hillarious:D - i ride with a guy that has a phone exactly like that:face-icon-small-sho...it has pretty good range in the hills too go figure:confused:!

well, he decided to go with the storm, and i got a curve as the free one that came with it. The BB operating system is so different, but the lady that helped BigHoe at the store told him to give it a couple weeks and see how it works out
