Blackberry Question???

It's time for a new one, has anyone tried the storm yet? I heard it had problems in the beginning but it may have been fixed. I can't decide between the storm and the curve? I don't really want to be stuck with a POS phone for the next two years. Any input?

I have the Curve 8830 for the past six months and I have not had any issues with the phone thus far. As far as the Storm, I have not heard too much about that phone yet.

Yeah, I've been reading the reviews on the Storm. It looks pretty cool but some people are saying the software is slow. I guess I could get it and if it sucks take it back. I think they give you 30 days to return it if you don't like it. They are buy one get one free through Verizon right now!

I have a buddy with the storm and he loves it. I played around with it for a while the one day and I gotta say I kinda liked it as well. I'm not a big blackberry fan, but the storm is a pretty decent phone. At that point he had if for a month and he hasn't had any problems with it at all. Got one hell of a camera on it too.

I have had the storm for about a month now........

at first it is pretty slow but as you use it and start adding applications and get rid of the ones you don't use, it gets a lot faster....... it also helps to close the applications instead of leaving them running in the background.

friggin awsome application I just was turned on to is VLINGO..... free for any blackberry and it alows you to text or email by speaking into the phone..... it types out whatever you say so for texting while driving........very nice!!!!!

it learns your voice the more you use it and is really quite accurate.

Curve here. The only problem I have is when someone sends me a text w/ audio. I have to reboot as it messes w/ my speaker--can't hear people when they call. I just delete those now and no issues.

Avsrock has a Storm, says it kicks ***.

If you're looking and have Verizon, PM Summitman, he's a dealer and could prolly hook you up w/ a good deal on a phone.

Come to think of it, I think he has the Storm, too.

how do you get the VLINGO....I hate typing on my Pearl....hate it.

Ive had my curve for almost a month. Love it. NO problems at all. I had it all figured out pretty quick. Didn't take too long.

I've had a Storm for 3 or 4 months. Once you get past the learning curve of everything being touch screen it's pretty easy to use. I've liked it so far.

My biggest biotch about it is how slow it gets at times. It's like the old days of dial up where you hurry up and wait for a screen to load. I've tried tried limiting the appications and everthing else Verizon has recommended with no luck. The only other option they have given me is to wipe it out and reload the software. I've also had it do some wierd stuff where it will just turn itself off and restart when you unlock it or try to use it.

Has anyone figured out the Suretype option in portrait viewing? I'd like to be able to use it for one hand texting at times, but it's like it has a mind of its own. It doesn't matter how you push a button, it will always bring up a different letter on the scree.

I guess I could go with this model.

had it form the day you could have one and love it it takes a lil to get use to but pays off

I`ve had my curve for almost two months and it almost drove me to the brink of sliting my wrists to make the pain stop! But now I`m on to it and it`s pretty cool!
