I have read on here in several posts that several people are running the black purple spring in their secondary and was wondering if it is worth it. I am getting closer to holding the R's but not yet 100 percent satisfied. Someone explain what the advantages would be for running this spring and any disadvantages as well.:face-icon-small-con

I will be running the black purple in my 2011 Assault SB in two weeks outwest. With that said, Polaris recommends this spring in the 155" starting at 8,000ft....not sure of your elevation or machine/model....

Running a PRO 155 any where between 6 and 10,000 feet. If I'm not mistaken the spring is a SLP correct?

I've got it in my 155 pro running at 10,000'+ with 10-58 weights and Team/Delrin washers.Had them(spring and washers) since day one so can't say how it would run without it but I'm happy with how the sled runs.Only 375 miles so far mostly powder.
Heard it might make clutch engagement harsher but seems to work for me at my elevation.

I ride an 08 Dragon 700 at 3000 - 6000 ft and I switched to a black and purple spring last week along with a Carl's custom cut Team helix .38/.40 and WOW. What a GIANT difference it made. Also added 2 delrins in my secondary. I was only pulling about 7800 r's on climbs and last sat. I was pulling about 8200. My low end torque was much better. I'm sure a lot of it had to do with the new helix. The helix was about $95 from Carl's and the spring was $20.

Its a team spring. When I ordered one polaris had them on backorder so I got one from a team retailer. Also black/purple and 10 bucks cheaper.

Thanks guys for the info. kooks like I may be giving one of these a go. Delrin washers as well I know from past experience these are almost a must.

I'm going with the SLP blue/pink in the primary and the team black/purple in the secondary. Will test this weekend.
