Pros:
-took off all oxidation from my sled tunnel and rails
- decently easy to use- spray on (need spray bottle if you buy the gallon), let foam up, scrub LIGHTLY (you are only spreading the product out) with toothbrush if bad oxidation, wipe off with microfiber towel, repeat till aluminum looks brand new! (2-4 reps for me)
-cleans up very easy and protects the aluminum from further oxidation
- leaves an awesome shine… sled looks brand new!
Cons:
- very runny and can leave streaks if not spread out evenly (only on vertical surfaces) - there’s a trick to solve this… use paper towel and saturate it with Alumaclean, spray aluminum, now stick the paper towel to the aluminum, continue to spray until paper towel has to be peeled off, (let product saturate the aluminum for 1-5 mins) you may have to repeat this a couple of times
VERY happy with this product. HIGHLY recommend! Be patient, it takes time to get that awesome finish, don’t be surprised if the oxidation isn’t entirely off after 1-2 reps
Beats sandpaper or scotchbrite 110%
Note: if you don’t want the bare aluminum look, get some metal/aluminum polish and buff on buff off. (Maybe a couple of times) Your tunnel and other parts will now have a mirror finish
Final Results: (pictured)
In my opinion, the shiny aluminum looks better than a polished mirror finish- makes the sled look brand new from the factory
