Just curious, for those of you guys running the Bikeman pipe, which can does a guy go with, the powderlite or the full velocity.

I know the powderlite is obviously a little lighter and louder but how much louder?????

Any other drawbacks for benefits of either can???

After looking at their cans I was thinking about the full velocity until I read you had to cut up some of battery box if you have electric start. I think I will run an HPS with the BMP pipe.

Running the pipe but a super q can. Had a powder lite on my pro and it was too loud

I run there full velocity can with there pipe, seams well built, mellow tell the 7200 ish rpm then it's louder but nothing to much. Close to slp sound wise.

Powder lite can on my axys is LOUD !!! I was very surprised how much louder it is then the one on my 09 RMK with BMP pipe mod.

Nooby

No electric start here, so no issues there.

So, no issues with running a HPS with the BMP Pipe?

Im also abit intrested in that diamond S can. If soundlvl is on par with SLP at full throttle then its intresting.
Would be really nice with a slight smaller can so i can fit an underhood bag.
But i dont want to sacrifice sound lvl!

I had the HPS can on my Axys, and sounded and worked good, mid season I decided to buy a BMP pipe. The figment with the HPS can was good but pipe didn't like the can, a buddy of mine was running the BMP powder lite can with stock pipe so we switched cans. My RPMs went up by 200 and it ran much better!!! So of course I ordered the BMP can the next day.

The powder lite is very loud, I'm sure the full velocity can works very well too and is quieter if thats what your looking for. FWIW

Well damn. Looks like I will need to cut my battery tray a little and order the BMP full velocity can.

Do you have any fitment issues? Can you PM me some pics of your install?

No fitment issues and I am running it into a BDX-SSI modified stock pipe. I also ran it on my stock pipe. It is a great product. Losing nearly 16 lbs. is huge as far as I am concerned. It is not much louder than stock if at all. When I was running it with the stock pipe, my sled definitely performed better than those who were running the stock muffler. Was that a performance increase or just weight loss? I don't know. With the BDX-SSI pipe mod, my sled rips. It pulls 8400 RPM with 66 gram Belly Busters very well. I had it perform that well at 8500 feet which is higher than I usually ride. I will try to remember to take a picture of it and send it to you.

Never mind, I figured you were using a BMP pipe, being this thread is about their pipe and silencers.

Here is the email I got back from BMP

"As long as the HPS can works fine with the stock pipe it should work with ours but I can't guarantee . The only other company's can that we've tested is SLP's and theirs was too tight (they dyno at 6,000+ ft) and led to detonation on longer pulls due to too much heat being held in."
