Bikeman Performace Powderlite Can

Is anyone running one of these on there 800? I like the lightweight and price tag of the can but will I need earplugs? Don't want to loud of a can just something different than stock

If you don't want loud, don't buy the Bikeman. It is the loudest one out there.

I dunno if you saw the video of it on their website, but here it is.

They also have the full velocity or whatever it's called which is a little quieter.

They are not the loudest out there. I think they sound good. Are they loud compared to stock? Yes. Ear splitting? No.

For the Pro? I think they are the loudest.

HPS
MBRP
SLP
Jaws
Skinz

None of them are louder. (I'm talking about the big name players btw... sure maybe "The Thing" can or similar may be louder, but it isn't one of the common ones used)

If I buy a can I might buy the BMP... I'm also attracted to the price tag and for me loud isn't an issue. I'm also considering the Jaws though. They sound great.

in most cases a can alone nets you 0 gains, many times a lost of hp. is this true on the pro? the pro has the smallest stock can i have ever seen, and its a bunch lighter than the doo ones i'm used to.

tbeaton, I agree with you that none of these so called cans or mufflers add power like they use to back in the day but they do sometimes just save weight. Obviously on the other hand they do make different sounds or tones which makes them louder. If your about the sound then you should find the type of noise that you like but unfortunaetly when they make your sled perform worse then stock or pull less high end rpms due to the fact that they are too free flowing sucks. I sure misss the old days when they added more power besides saving the extra weight and finding the right sound to your ears never hurt but as we get older it is now too loud.

I like BMP products but with a name like powder lite it seems a bit unattractive. They could of named the big jug or large one but powder lite sounds like a womans femine product or something? Just saying!

I just sold my HPS after dealing with rpm loss. A friend has the identical machine with the MBRP and I think the noise level is comparable and his didn't lose rpm.

Any idiot can make a can, the fact that it is the cheapest one out there should clue you in as to the quality and thought that went into the build,

Whatever you do, don't be a paste eater and try to make your own using a dirt bike slip on.

I ran a BMP Powderlite can out in Tog the last 4 days. I ride in a group with a couple of HPS cans on XPs and an SLP on another Pro. My Bikeman in twice as loud as an HPS. I didn't realize it was going to be this loud, and I'm comming off of a sled that had a MBRP Race can. I like loud but this is PLENTY loud for me, I'm not going to trade it back but I'll try to link a couple videos to Youtube once I get them uploaded since I just got home today.

You gonna pipe it or anything? How's the weight loss and how many miles u have

That was me in that video, let me tell you this can is LOUD!!! Yes, ear piercing loud. While it is built well and I didn't notice any performance loss, I ended up giving it to a friend and now am running a Skinz Super Q can on my 12. I really like this can. It is decently loud, but not overly bearing loud like the powderlite is. If you wanting one of the lightest, but also extremely loud can, then get the powderlite.
