Best affordable lightweight can for 850 Matryx?

I have to agree with not recommending GGB. I've got their quiet can on my 850. It runs fine in the cold, but in warmer temps definitely runs worse than stock. I still run it though because I dig the sound, and cause Canada, eh? I swap in the stock can come spring.

For the SLP can, have you checked if any local dealers carry it? Mine does, keeps the shipping cost down.

Nah there are no local dealers that would carry anything like that. The closest dealer I had dealt with for years, and stopped having anything to do with them because the owner is a loud mouth who will chase people out of the store if they say something that pisses him off. He has publically stated that he hates snowmobilers and the only reason he carries them is because Polaris requires him to. The other dealer is a big powersports dealer that carries every brand of every thing, but they don't carry those kinds of accessories; they only carry OEM stuff.

SLP says they only give discounts to active duty, so I am incline to just stick with what I have for now until something else comes along.

Is this their quiet can, but with the cooker bracket? Was thinking of getting that plus the cooker, so I can not use it just like I did with the current can. :)
I have the SLP picnicr on my 850 NA. It's the best bang for the buck IMO and quiet but a nice tone. I put a RPM Q Muff can on my boost and also like it but for the price the SLP is best.

me too - I love it and I cook all kinds of crap - hot lunch is best - taquitos and mini corn dogs are a big hit. Chicken fingers, ribs, pizza, burritos, hot pockets, the list ins endless and beats cold lunch always. I've put picnicr's on every sled I've owned for the last 10 years.

I am contemplating upgrading to their new single pipe and can combo. Unfortunately all current cans won't fit the new single pipe so if you are going to upgrade you have to do both. ugh. I've heard they improve the low end and mid-range grunt and if you are a tree rider they make a pretty good improvement. Also considering their high dome power head as well. Why not? If you are in there, might as well do it all. I'm fortunate because my local dealer is an SLP dealer so I get good prices and generally just let the dealer do the installs as part of picking up my new sled. (no install cost if I do it at time of purchase so I don't have to mess with it)

I wanted to find a good deal on a HPS or SLP, but came across a great deal on a used Jaws Trail can. I was skeptical, but ended up being completely happy with it. I didn't want anything obnoxiously loud and Jaws has that reputation. They have 3 different options and the Trail is the quietest of the 3. It is louder than stock, but not obnoxious. I asked multiple riding partners and they all confirmed. For the money, a Jaws is hard to beat.

After today's ride, I think I'm gonna save my money and keep my current can... at least for now. If it gets on my nerves again, I'll go for an SLP.. but maybe I've gotten used to the one I have.

Thank you to everybody who has offered input!

If anyone wants a deal on a brand new SLP 650/850 cooker can I've got one in BC can ship anywhere
