Anybody stay at the Triple Peak Lodge. What's the riding like around there. Thinking of heading there the first week of Feb. during the Ladies ride weekend. Looks to be out in the middle of nowhere. Can you ride from the ranch, is it easier to trailer somewhere. Hooking up with a couple friends, just trying to get the feel of what the place is like. Never heard of it the closest I've been riding is down South of Evanston. Thanks for any help........

The riding around there is above average. There is a GIANT loop of trails at the top of the Wyoming Range (300 + miles). From Triple Peak, it's not to far to hop over to gun-site, which is a pretty awesome place to ride. You can trailer in. There is a "trail" from the lodge to the Wyoming Range Trail Loop, but it's not a groomed maintained highway by any means.

At the top, once you're on the Wyoming Range Trail Loop, there is a warming hut. The riding really depends on where you go. If you stay up near the warming hut, the trails are really nice. There are lots of meadows and hill-sides to play on. If you carry on that loop over to the Afton/Alpine side, the terrain gets much more steep.
